TRENTON NJ,  State Treasurer Elizabeth Maher Muoio released the following statement on the decision by Moody’s Investor Services to upgrade New Jersey’s outlook from negative to stable due to the better than expected revenue performance in Fiscal Year 2021, and the expectation that large resulting fund balances will support budget flexibility through the coronavirus recovery.

This order closed many schools and businesses and implemented social distancing measures to protect the public health of the State. In the past year, New Jerseyans across all regions have experienced health and economic impacts of the global pandemic. All Individuals Ages 16 and Older Will be Eligible for COVID-19 Vaccination on April 19 in New Jersey

Trenton NJ, Governor Phil Murphy today announced that all individuals ages 16 and older will be eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccination on April 19 – two weeks ahead of the state’s initial target of May 1. New Jersey’s phased vaccination roll out has successfully administered 4.7 million doses of vaccine to essential frontline workers, educators, high-risk groups, and other eligible adults who live, work, or study in the state. With 1,796,798 adults already fully vaccinated, New Jersey is on track to meet Governor Murphy’s goal of fully vaccinating 4.7 million adults by June 30.

Many New Jersey State Government Websites are Down

Trenton NJ, searches this morning revealed many New Jersey Government state site are down or offline this morning . The Ridgewood blog ran a check and found some functions on  NJMVC offline , the Office of New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy, NJDEP, NJDOL and NJDOH all offline at 7:20 am this morning(04/03/21) . Currently there is no information available as to the nature of the problem.

represents the lowest uninsured motorist rate in New Jersey in at least 20 years.

New Jersey Leads the Nation in the Spread of COVID 19

Trenton NJ, New Jersey’s autumn/winter surge peaked in early January and then leveled off briefly from February 19-February 26 before increasing again. Unlike many states, New Jersey’s daily incidence only declined 50%—from approximately 6,000 new cases per day** to 3,000—before rebounding. New Jersey is now reporting 3,980 new cases per day, higher than its first peak in April 2020, and increasing steadily.
