Dear Village Council,
I’m writing to urge you to vote “no” on the high density housing proposed for our Historic Central Business District. The density is too high and should not be considered for Ridgewood. If you think it should be considered, please take the time to first listen to the people who elected you then take the time to hear from real experts about the impact on taxes, traffic, infrastructure, schools, property values, quality of life, stress on services, and more.
The impact on our Village will be irreversible and this permanent change requires more than just two meetings and a quick vote. It certainly requires you to consider the will of the public, the homeowners, the taxpayers, the residents, the VOTERS who elected you!
Even if you think it is over, PLEASE if you do not want more traffic, less green space, higher taxes and more crowded schools write this letter!!
Show up at the meeting sept 30 @ 7:30 . The mayor is moving and his house will be sold long before our taxes are raised despite lower property values.
I guess Lorraine, Anne and Boyd are the CBR ticket for 2016? Wonder what their platform will be given none of the current Council seem to have any original ideas on how to improve life for Village residents, or how to reduce our Village property taxes by working with BoE to target y/y tax reductions for residents. What’s the plan Lorraine assuming you’re our next Mayor?
My friend, if you are concerned with rising taxes I hope you will show up on September 30 and say no to this plan. The financial impact of these building was NEVER a consideration when the planning board approved these changes. That is our council’s job and they are not doing it by having zero discussions or studies with independent experts in the financial impact to our village and ultimately taxpayers.
Let is worry about the next election after we get through this.
35 units per acre is 10 too many,so i say no.
Will you send a letter to the council? Will you attend the meeting on september 30 at 7:30? You must do one or both to be heard! the letter will take one minute if you copy and paste from above!
I hope one of the two honest council members will, announce a tally of how many emails they received.
