The most dangerous intersection in Ridgewood, followed closely by the intersection of Lincoln and Bellair.
Ackerman and Bellair is also very bad.
When is the town going to enforce the 45 degree view and make inconsiderate homeowners cut bushes blocking the view so one can safely look prior to entering an intersection.
Monroe, glen etc have many offenders
Excessive speed on Linwood is the issue. A high percentage of vehicles heading westbound exceed the speed limit by 20 mph.
When I lived in Allendale, on more than one occasion I received notification from the town that it was time to trim my forsythia, or else……
That’s not an easy intersection especially when schools are being let out.
Lived here for decades; hardly close to the most dangerous intersection. Its one of many intersection where someone is going to do a risky move in order to get across. But if folks actually drove at 25, then it would safer.
And yes, visibility is important.
learn to drive.
simple.
Ridgewood needs to be a leader in sustainability and climate change, and ban all cars from the township. Make the village pedestrian friendly and walkable. There’s no need for vehicles in the village, it’s 2023! If it’s appropriate in the cbd, then it’s appropriate for the rest of the village.
Sarcasm font, please.

the Village put a blinking light there after the pedestrian was hit , but I think its gone ???
Nothing more confusing than a cautionary blinking light -No one knows who has right of way ( Outside of those entering an avenue or street at a stop sign must yield to those in roadway or avenue being entered or crossed ..
Likely temp Cya by town manager or pol.Once lawsuits settled back to Demo Derbies
Blinking traffic lights in intersections
are confusing to some and invites whatever is in the mind of those on that road to possibly slow down and beware of those waiting to enter after looking for Cars/Trucks and Pedestrians in the priority position.Ambiguous and Dangerous especially for pedestrians and cars crossing that road . That is why it is not there any longer…Revert to standard RIGHT OF WAY Rules..
How about a traffic light??
There’s enough action at that intersection to warrant it!
Between school parking, the park and the pool in the summer it’s always busy.
