Teaneck NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of SHALOM YEHUDIEL (DOB: 3/03/1982; married; business owner) of Surfside, FL on sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child charges. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the Federal Bureau of Investigation – New York Field Office under the direction of Assistant Director in Charge Michael J. Driscoll.
On Friday, November 19, 2021, the Federal Bureau of Investigation contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding the alleged sexual assault of a child. A months-long investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Federal Bureau of Investigation revealed that SHALOM YEHUDIEL sexually assaulted the child, who was younger than 16 years old, in Teaneck, NJ on more than one occasion.
As a result of the investigation, on Wednesday, March 16, 2022, SHALOM YEHUDIEL was arrested in Newark, NJ, and charged with first-degree sexual assault, N.J.S.A. 2C:14-2a(2)b; second-degree sexual assault, 2C:14-2c(3)b; and third-degree endangering the welfare of a child, N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4a(1). YEHUDIEL was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending his first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, NJ.
Prosecutor Musella states that the charges are merely accusations and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, and he would like to thank the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Port Authority Police Department, and the Teaneck Police Department for their assistance in this investigation.
