PJ Blogger and the Staff of the Ridgewood blog
Ridgewood NJ, Is there some reason that Paul Aronsohn and Gwenn Hauck both continue to maintain their respective ego driven, pretentious, outdated web sites?
In his recent article in the always Democratic machine friendly Bergen Record former Ridgewood Mayor Paul Aronsohn engages in what can only be categorized as an attempt to set the stage for a political comeback though historical revisionism ,blatant dishonesty and a subtle attempt to undermine the current council.
The former mayor clearly still does not understand Ridgewood ,where it has always been considered very bad form for previous council members to criticize current new council members before they get a chance to get their seats warm.
Aronsohn’s term as mayor can be best described as contentious ,dishonest, controversial and to many the worst and most ineffective mayor in recent history. Rivaling the darkest days of Jane Reilly and the abject stupidity of the Village Hall reconstruction.
Aronsohn needs to face facts that Hudson County Machine Politics do not belong or according to the last election will be tolerated the Village of Ridgewood .
As we read through Aronsohn’s opinion piece it felt like we had heard all this before. Phases like “Ridgewood at a crossroads “, “Progress and Tradition “, “Kick the can down the road “and “Need to move forward ” all sounded eerily familiar. And yes they are these very words are the words of Councilmen Ramon Hache in the Ridgewood blog on March 9th (https://theridgewoodblog.net/ramon-m-hache-announces-candidacy-for-ridgewood-village-council/)
So it seems the the former Mayor found in necessary to praise himself while plagiarizing from Councilmen Hache’s campaign.
Perhaps former mayor Aronsohn’s time would be better spent gracefully retiring to a life of gardening and back yard barbecues.
Planning a comeback maybe?
Aronsohn: Ridgewood at the crossroads
BY PAUL ARONSOHN
THE RECORD
THE VILLAGE of Ridgewood is at a crossroads. For the first time in recent memory, our community has been discussing, debating and even deciding some of the big issues that have long simmered just beneath the surface — issues such as taxes and government services, multifamily housing, parking and, of course, the Valley Hospital. Rather than play it safe and continue to “kick the can down the road,” we have sought to resolve issues that have long eluded us.
He forgot some of the other phrases . Drill Down, Moving Forward, Circle Around.
Clearly, he is the sorest of the sore losers. The two websites, his and Gwenn’s, are pitiful testaments to their longing for a return to power. Good riddance to bad rubbish, the both of them.
He also forgot to mention the campaign contribution and comp tickets to the Christie fundraiser he took from Saraceno.
Paul you are now irrelevant. How does it feel.
OK….I can’t stand them like most of the community.
To be fair, Paul has’t updated his page in a year…..and if he did it would look like Gwenn’s loser track record.
Vote for parking, support Richard Brooks, vote no on referendum…….strike three, she’s out!!!!
You would think she would erase all those embarrassing losses.
Buh bye
“According to the Ridgewood Chamber of Commerce, our town has been exploring the possibility of a downtown parking deck for a full 90 years.” We were exploring a parking deck in 1926? Really? Seriously?
Show me the documents Paul or don’t make such a foolish statement and attribute it to someone else. I’m having a really, really hard time accepting that the Villagers were talking about a parking “deck” in 1926.
His website was actually updated in April or May of this year when he removed many photos that were unlawfully posted without the permission of the photographers who took them. The man is simply the biggest of the dirtbags around.
Paul is so desperate to save face that he sent out an e-mail to his supporters, which included a link to his lame Op Ed piece, asking his supporters to “comment.” So I guess he doesn’t like the comments that are already posted there?
Note to Paul: Give it a rest dirtbag; you’re toast and you know it.
Sad and pathetic.
Maybe he doesn’t realize his political career is down the toilet.
I would feel better about reading the blog if people stopped using the word “dirtbag.” It’s becoming more frequent and it’s gross. Remember the wonderful scene in Cyrano de Bergerac where he has a sword fight with a man who insulted his big nose, the whole time offering various ways the man could have insulted him more cleverly? Let’s do that.
You’re right 10:17 am. Let’s start referring to him as either a sleaze bag or a slime ball.
Whatever it is that Aronsohn tried to do to the Village, he was not able to complete it and was ushered out in disgrace. Give us all a little time 10:17 and you’ll see the vocabulary improve. There is a lot of pent up resentment that is coming out, that is true. But the lion’s share of the negative energy was invested in legitimate civic involvement capped off with enthusiastic exercising of the voting franchise.
Maybe he’s going for the Guinness Book as having the longest lasting political comeback.
(I wonder if the effort counts if it ultimately fails?)
Maybe he can just eat Gyro’s with Ping Pong Paul behind the illegal wall in the middle of town.LOL Can the new Council please address this wall issue? The town sidewalk Nazi is going crazy also. All sidewalks should be fixed but the extremes are numbing for what they are asking. $60 permits to lower or raise a pad a half inch?
Paul just doesn’t know how to be civil and walk away. You did your part, the “progress” is you leaving and new mayor and council. We got it from here.
