Ridgewood NJ, every year, the Village of Ridgewood finds a worthy tree to cut down for the annual “Down Town for the Holidays ” Christmas tree lighting. The tree is destined to be cut down anyway for various reasons and donated and repurposed to the Village .
Village Manager Keith Kazmark said in a Facebook post,” What a way to start the Thanksgiving holiday – with the arrival of the Village Christmas Tree to the downtown! Thanks to the @RidgewoodChamber, @DownesTreeService, @Ridgewood.ParksAndRecreation and the @RidgewoodPolice for their collective efforts this week coordinating this effort! Join us on December 1st for the tree lighting.”

Here we go again. And how come the village box department is not doing the tree. But he said do it for many many years, what’s this costing.???????
Nice that @DownesTreeService had time to do this given that they were busy cutting down trees in Montclair so that town can expand their ball field and yet still they have time to deliver our RW big tree. So nice of them. I guess when you are friends with the mayor, there are lots of perks that come your wayand you get free advertisement and can have a float in the 4th of July parade.
Downes has been doing the tree for many years as well as participating in the parade- I think some of the school floats have been on their trucks.
They have been friends with all the mayors. I guess they have perfected the process of greasing the wheel.
Believe me that companies getting more than free advertisement.

Enough already plant the tree at a location and leave it .let it grow so it’s there is a tree every year you don’t go through all this bullshit. Do you remember when so”so cut the tree down.
