Ridgewood NJ, On Monday, January 20, 2020, Ridgewood Public Schools will be honoring the leadership and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. by participating in the MLK national day of service. This year marks the 25th anniversary of MLK Day, and we encourage you and your family to find a meaningful way to make a contribution to the community in remembrance of Dr. King’s work. “Make it a day on, not a day off.”
In the words of Dr. King, “An individual has not started living until he can rise above the narrow confines of individualistic concerns to the broader concerns of all humanity.”
Friday, Jan. 17 at 6:30pm, at the Ridgewood Public Library join Reel Voices & the MLK Celebration Committee for a screening of Soundtrack for a Revolution and remarks by Ridgewood’s own Rev. Prof. Mack Brandon. Info/registration: https://www.ridgewoodlibrary.org/reelvoices2019
