UPDATE: National Weather Service Calls Todays Storm a, “long duration winter weather event”

Ridgewood NJ, the National Weather Services has issued a Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 4 am Thursday to 7 pm Friday  .Portions of northeast New Jersey, southern Connecticut and southeast New York . Snow expected. Snowfall accumulations of 3 to 6 inches are expected Thursday, with total snowfall accumulations of 5 to 9 inches by the end of the event on Friday.

Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute. .This will be a long duration winter weather event. Light to moderate snowfall is likely early Thursday morning into afternoon. Periods of light snow are then expected Thursday Night into Friday morning, before ending in the afternoon.

REMOTE LEARNING DAY – THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 18, 2021 : Due to the inclement weather, all Ridgewood Public Schools will pivot to remote learning on Thursday, February 18. All afterschool activities are canceled. Thank you and please stay safe and warm.
Ridgewood Police Department reminds you that although the snow is pretty to look at it’s dangerous to drive on. The wet heavy snow has created slippery roadways.  Please stay off the roads to allow street crews to plow and salt the roads.

Feb 18th, 2021 – Village Offices Closing Early : Due to weather conditions, Village Offices and Recycling Center will be closing at 12PM today.
