Ridgewood NJ, When not at Ridgewood Emergency Services as its Public Information Officer, Bob Krane is a State Staging Officer and Logistics Support member of the NJ EMS Task Force and a member of the Bergen County EMS Special Operations Group. Bob has been volunteering at the Bergen County Corvid19 Testing site in Paramus. It’s “all hands on deck” said Krane.
Members of the NJ EMS Task Force Thursday continued to support local, state and national partners at mobile COVID-19 testing sites at Bergen Community College and the PNC Bank Arts Center.
NJ EMS Task Force teams have been providing logistics and administrative at the testing sites since they began operations. The team of highly trained career and volunteer EMS providers have been activated statewide since March 17 as part of the response to the COVID-19 crisis.
In addition to supporting the testing sites, the NJ EMS Task Force continues to work with its EMS, OEM, law enforcement and public health partners through the emergency management system to support the efforts to stop the spread of COVID-19.
“As has been the case throughout this public health crisis, the NJ EMS Task Force stands ready to respond to any of the stakeholders’ emergent needs and to respond to the impact of the coronavirus pandemic,” said John Grembowiec, Task Force Advisory Board Chairman.
The NJEMSTF is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that represents more than 200 career and volunteer EMS providers throughout the state, who are trained to respond to large-scale man-made and natural disasters as well as pre-planned events.
