Ridgewood NJ, get ready to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day hassle-free with enhanced NJ TRANSIT service for the New York City parade on Monday, March 17, and the Pearl River parade on Sunday, March 23!
March 17: NYC Parade Service
🚆 Trains & Buses: Operating on a regular weekday schedule
🚉 Additional Rail Service: Added capacity from New York State stations on the Port Jervis and Pascack Valley Lines, in partnership with Metro-North Railroad
🚋 Light Rail: Running on a normal weekday schedule
🛎️ Customer Service Ambassadors: Available at Penn Station New York, Secaucus, Aberdeen-Matawan, and Middletown, NJ to assist riders
March 23: Pearl River Parade Service
🚆 Enhanced Pascack Valley Line (PVL) Service for easy access to and from the parade
IMPORTANT: No Beverages Allowed on Transit 🚫
To ensure a safe and comfortable ride for all passengers, NO beverages—alcoholic or non-alcoholic, open or closed—will be permitted on any train, bus, or platform on the following dates:
🗓 March 1-2 – Hoboken & Belmar festivities
🗓 March 8-9 – Atlantic City & Asbury Park celebrations
🗓 March 15 – Morristown parade
🗓 March 16 – South Amboy parade
🗓 March 17 – NYC St. Patrick’s Day Parade
🗓 March 23 – Pearl River parade
This policy will be strictly enforced, and passengers should expect an increased presence of NJ Transit Police across the system.
