Are the Democrats attempting to pick the winner of the Republican primary for Congress in the 5th District?

RINO GOP

Gottheimer Supporters Now Backing John McCann

Hackensack NJ , The Lonegan for Congress campaign is questioning if Democrats have infiltrated the ranks of the Republican Party in the 5th District now that a prominent New Jersey family with ties to Democrat Josh Gottheimer is publicly supporting John Mcann in the Congressional race.

Harry Shortway is the Mayor of Vernon Township, in Sussex County. His father, also named Harry Shortway, is the Mayor of Midland Park, in Bergen County.

Harry Shortway of Vernon was the most prominent Republican in Sussex County to endorse liberal Democrat Josh Gottheimer for Congress. His father, who held a patronage position with the Democrat Sheriff of Bergen County, recently told GOP officials that he too was supporting Democrat Gottheimer.

On Sunday, February 25th, the Shortways will be hosting a campaign event for John McCann’s congressional campaign committee. The event will be held at the family business: Shortway’s Barn, in Hawthorne. McCann claims to be a loyal Republican, but why are two Republican supporters of the Democrat incumbent supporting him?

McCann was also in the employ of the Bergen County Democrat Sheriff Michael Saudino until announcing his run for Congress last September.

Assemblyman Tim Eustace leads another Faux Protest Photo Op ‘Don’t donate to hate’ protest of PSE&G’s support of U.S. Rep. Garrett

New Jersey Assemblymen Tim Eustace

Elizabeth NJ,  As a handful of craigslist hired or craigslist inspired people stood outside a PSE&G office Thursday, holding signs saying “Don’t donate to hate” and “Stop funding bigots,” company representatives watched from only a few feet away.

The faux protest of under 10 people of coarse grabbed the attention of New Jersey Media who answered the call for the photo op in what has become a well coordinated attack on Congressmen Scott Garrett .

The faux protest outside the PSE&G’s Elizabeth office was over PSE&G’s financial support of U.S. Rep. Scott Garrett (R-NJ 5th District), who last year allegedly said he had refused to pay dues to the House Republicans’ fundraising arm because it had supported gay candidates for office. While no video or sound recordings or even a transcript have been produced as they say never let the facts get in the way of a good story.

Assemblyman Tim Eustace (D-Bergen, Passaic), has been on the band wagon since the beginning while Garrett’s alleged comments seem to bother Eustace far more the Democrat candidate Josh Gottheimer excepting money from disgraced former congressmen Bob Torcelli or Saudi Businessman known for beating his wives. After all un like New Jersey women are property in Saudi Arabia so it cant really be a big deal.

Eustace and a about a dozen other people have made it their mission to visit every New Jersey company that financially supports Garrett and convince them to withdraw their funding. And of coarse they ccan always count on their friends in the New Jersey media to cover their one sided ambitions.

While they have had some success ,some businesses, including First Energy, which owns Jersey Central Power and Light, have pledged to halt their donations.

Eustace was joined by Rahway city councilman Bob Bresenhan, Jr., one of the photo ops organizers, acknowledged that PSE&G advocates for its LGBT employees, but said it undercuts those efforts by supporting Garrett.

A spokesman for PSE&G said the company’s federal political action committee (PAC) donates to candidates both Democrats and Republicans — who support PSE&G’s business interests.

In March, Garrett told The Record political opponents had distorted his stance on gay congressional candidates. He said it is “everyone’s right” to run for office, but he would only back people who oppose same-sex marriage.

His reelection campaign manager, Sarah Neibart, on Thursday said the protesters were “political opportunists” seeking only to raise their own profiles.

“As Congressman Scott Garrett has stated many times, he believes in the right of all Americans to run for public office,” Neibart said. “This has been published on the record repeatedly, and yet apparently, that’s not good enough.”

Bresenhan said Garrett’s stance on gay candidates was only part of his problem with the congressman. He also takes issue with Garrett’s opposition to same-sex marriage and his sponsorship of legislation that would allow businesses to deny service to gay couples because of religious beliefs.
Perhaps Bresenhan’s time would be better spent at Muslim bakeries asking them to create gay wedding cakes? Or limiting campaign contributions from countries that murder gays , still support slavery or treat women as property ? We can bet more than 10 people would show up for those protests whether you paid them or not.

Garrett Challenger Josh Gottheimer Faces New Questions for Accepting Donations from Saudi Wife Beaters and disgraced former NJ Senator

Paramus NJ in what could be only considered a media event with no chance of swaying opinions 12 protesters called on Fidelity Investments storefront on Route 17 in Paramus to stop financially backing the campaign of CD5 Republican Congressman Scott Garrett.

The rally was made up of the same 12 people who have been protesting Garrett and supporting his opponent
Josh Gottheimer ,included Assemblyman Tim Eustace (D-38), representatives from New Jersey Citizen Action, Garden State Equality, College Democrats of New Jersey and Ramapo College Democrats. Apparently the few protesters were unaware that a branch office in New Jersey has almost zero input to Fidelity Investments corporate donation policy.

These “rent a mob” protests have been in response to controversial remarks Garrett “allegedly” made last year that he would not support the House Republican campaign arm because of support for gay candidates.
No evidence or transcripts have ever surfaced as to the nature of these “alleged” comments . Most insiders suspect the entire controversy was manufactured by former House Speaker  John “cry baby” Boehner. Who Garrett had voted against his disastrous tenure as Speaker of The House.

While the media loves events like theses that are custom tailored to fit the “evil ,mean ,GOP ” narrative Garrett’s Democratic opposition Josh Gottheimer has had far worse problems with donors . It seems Josh Gottheimer campaign has been partly financed by foreign money .Accepting donations from son of a billionaire Saudi businessman, and infamous wife beater Ibrahim Al-Rashid . Even Senator Harry Reid won’t take Al-Rashid’s money, yet political insider Josh Gottheimer has embraced Al-Rashid, to the disgust of residents of the Fifth District.

To make matters worse Gottheimer has also accepted donations from disgraced NJ Senator Bob “the Torch” Torricelli an Englewood Democrat who abandoned his bid for a second term in the U.S. Senate 13 years ago under an ethical cloud . So bad was Torricelli’s discretion’s he was forced out by his own party. Torricelli quite following a series of seamy revelations that he’d accepted lavish gifts from businessman David Chang, which in turned prompted the Senate Ethics Committee to issue a formal letter of admonishment.
