FRANKLIN LAKES, NJ , Special Properties Real Estate Services, LLC, an exclusive affiliate of Christie’s International Real Estate, has welcomed Cynthia (Cindy) Harkins, and accomplished real estate author and experienced broker to its Franklin Lakes, NJ office as part of the agency’s ongoing expansion throughout the region.

Cindy Harkins has been a fixture in Bergen County’s luxury real estate market for nearly 20 years. In addition to her agency experience, she is a licensed real estate instructor and teaches the New Jersey real estate salesperson pre-licensure course to aspiring agents. Cindy is also the author of The Savvy Seller: Preparing Your Home for Showings, a handbook and roadmap for sellers to ready their homes for the real estate market. She was inspired to put her tips in print in order to help sellers’ market their properties to their fullest potential.

Cindy attributes her success in the industry to her keen listening skills, attention to detail, personalized service, and superior networking resources. Her network of community contacts is built on her home sales experience and her former law practice (before she entered real estate), as well as her enduring commitment to community service. Cindy is a member of the Board of Governors of Hackensack University Medical Center, and a board member of the New Jersey State Council on the Arts and the Junior League of Bergen County.

Cindy graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Notre Dame and a Juris Doctor degree from the Loyola University of Chicago School of Law.

Long Time Ridgewood Resident Joins Ridgewood Office of Special Properties as a Broker Associate

Ridgewood NJ , Special Properties Real Estate Services, LLC, an exclusive affiliate of Christie’s International Real Estate, has welcomed Cristina (Cristy) Sippel, a Ridgewood resident of more than 30 years, as a Broker Associate at its Ridgewood, NJ office. The addition of Sippel is just part as part of the agency’s ongoing expansion throughout the region.

Cristy Sippel is high-energy and brings deep industry contacts and expertise from her career in advertising to her work in real estate.  As a part of the Ridgewood community for over three decades, she brings an extensive knowledge of the Village, and the surrounding region, to her clients. Cristy also brings a larger world perspective, having had the opportunity to live in many different states and countries around the world during her life.

Following a successful career in advertising, real estate was a logical transition. With the diverse knowledge and perspective of the advertising world, Cristy is adept at developing some of the most creative and unique marketing programs for each property listing.

With three children in the Ridgewood schools, and a graduate of Ridgewood High School herself, she can often be found cheering on the local high school sports teams or walking her long-haired dachshund, Oscar, around town.

Cristy is deeply involved in the community, serving in a variety of capacities for the local school system and other charitable organizations in the region. She has also been a board member of the Social Service Association since 2004 and a team member of Raphael’s Life House in Elizabeth since 2012. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Boston College in Marketing.

Bergen County Resident and Accomplished Volunteer Joins Ridgewood, NJ Office of Special Properties as a Broker Associate

Ridgewood NJ, Special Properties Real Estate Services, LLC, an exclusive affiliate of Christie’s International Real Estate, has welcomed Christina Gibbons, a veteran Bergen County resident and community volunteer, as a Broker Associate at its Ridgewood, NJ office.

Christina joins the Bergen County real estate market with a winning perspective, following a successful career in cardiology and service on various regional philanthropic boards. She brings intelligence, drive and personality to each and every client interaction, working closely with buyers and sellers to ensure a successful conclusion to the real estate transaction. Christina has a keen intuition for people’s needs, a skill for negotiating, and a roster of high quality professional and personal contacts.

Over the past 15 years, Christina has been a key member of the Bergen County community, devoting her free time to staying active in the community, giving her a well-rounded perspective on Bergen County and the diversity of its communities. Christina has served as the president of the board of directors for the YWCA of Bergen County, president of the Ridgewood Newcomers Club, and a board member of the Willard Elementary School Home and School Association. She currently holds board positions on the George Washington Middle School Home and School Association and the Ridgewood Baseball and Softball Association.

Christina grew up in upstate New York and graduated from Penn State University, where she studied medicine and played on the women’s tennis team. She enjoys spending time with her three sons and her husband of 15 years, as well as friends and extended family.  She also enjoys playing golf, tennis and paddle tennis at a competitive level.
