Reader asks why cameras at the construction sites but none at the Ridgewood Bus Station

“Tell us something someone installed cameras at the construction sites like we really going to sit on our asses and watch these ugly oversized condos being built in our CBD please stop the Storytelling. It’s amazing who is paying to have these cameras installed and maintained, but yet there’s no surveillance at the bus station and train tunnel. And at these locations on a daily basis we have individuals selling drugs, urinating all over the place, and pooping on the walls the handrails totally disgusting. What a bunch of animals. Maybe we should go back how was 30 years ago lock the damn bus station at 12 o’clock midnight and lock the gates at the train station. Period.

“Like we said a few weeks ago the bord health needs to get a hold of all these construction site locations and speak to the site manager who is running the job. And they need to put up rodent box traps. And also get a hold of New Jersey transit have the exterminator control the train station. Why is this a problem how come top officials cannot figure this out what is going on.

Reader says residents are threatened by CBD rat infestation

“This is a concern for many of us especially the ones that live close to the construction sites in the central business section of the village of Ridgewood. If they’re wandering around behind buildings alleyways and parks I’m sure they’re wondering around my backyard. And believe me I am not too happy about this. I will go to the next council meeting and say my piece. Because I feel that the village health department can do a whole lot more. In the past going back to health department what is the biggest joke in town if you know what I mean. With all these restaurants in town I see a lack of inspections. I think maybe we should start a residence inspection of restaurants with our cameras , Then you will see many locations clean up their act. Because what’s going on with most of his food establishments they have kids and other individuals working at the sites and they really don’t care about being clean.”

Unbalanced Women Alleged to be Raiding Dumpsters and Feeding Rats

Ridgewood NJ, since our last report in July the situation has gotten worse.

Sources in the Ridgewood Central Business District report the same person has continued raiding dumpsters in the Village and continues to feed rats .

“the Ridgewood blog previously reported that on July 15th, an East Ridgewood Avenue business reported being the victim of harassment in the past. The business owner reported surveillance cameras have captured a female actor opening the business dumpster during the overnight hours and removing garage on a nightly basis. Garage is repeatedly thrown about creating a hazardous condition and annoyance. The business wished to document the incident at this time.”

Rat Infestation at Van Neste Park

Ridgewood NJ, the Ridgewood blog staff has discovered more rats at Van Neste Park. The rat infestation appears worse than originally reported.

There are currently 4 major construction projects in Ridgewood’s central business district and it would seem that the development is stirring up unwanted guests.

The Ridgewood central business district is already dealing with a growing homeless problem, rats only add to the perception the Village’s best days are far behind it.

The other I keep pulling my hair about is that new family that buy-in RW the first thing they do is cut trees in their yard and complain about curb trees. The same people who predicate man-made climate change and other feelgood bullshit. “

Reader claims only Crime is Racefaster did not rejoin the Ridgewood Guild

” It’s true that this is the first year that Racefaster have not renewed with the guild, so you do the math on the guilds motivation. Tony certainly comes off as a hyprocrite, telling the guys at Racefaster that he “has no problem with it”, while doing everything in his power to shut it down. Is it sour grapes? Tony has been trying to sell his business for years and although Racefaster is bright, at least it’s new and clean versus the eyesore of Tony’s dilapidated store .
Like it or hate it, Racefaster is trying to do their best in a struggling town. They have three mall locations so they certainly can pull up stakes if they choose to, but they don’t. Their loyalty to the town is written all over their store – literally everything in their stores are named after streets and in Ridgewood. They employ several ridgewood residents and they support many local events in town.
The same people complaining about the orange store will complain about the empty store fronts, and complain about the developments, and complain about the garage, and complain about the taxes and on and on. “

Rats Discovered at Van Neste Square

Ridgewood NJ, rats continue to plague the Ridgewood central business district. This time rats were found at Van Neste Square early Monday morning.

With three major construction projects of high-density housing and now a fourth with the Hudson Street garage all the activity seems to be stirring up our four-legged friends.

Reader points to plenty of Color in the Central Business District in Ridgewood

” Its Greek to me is bright blue. Lisas Mediterranean is red and gold. Jekyll and Hyde is green Let’s face it, there is plenty of color on Ridgewood stores but for some reason, these two do not like the orange Racefaster. It is disgusting how this new business is being treated and it is certainly not reflective of a newcomer should be welcomed to town. “

Ridgewood Business Reports Harassment

Ridgewood NJ, the Ridgewood Police report that a Wilsey Square business owner responded to Ridgewood Police Headquarters on Sept. 22 to report stalking, harassment and theft. The business owner reported the accused placed harassing fliers around the Village of Ridgewood causing alarm. The complainant reported the accused removed mail from his business and changed the return address. The complainant is considering signing complaints at this time.

Reader Blames Current Council for the Elks club purchase, the library’s proposed “beautification” and the throwing away money on the useless Schedler house reconstruction

” This Council has been totally responsible for the purchase of the Elks club, the library’s proposed “beautification” and the throwing away of massive amounts of money on the totally useless Schedler house reconstruction. And, if they had deigned to side with the citizens of the Village’s suit, they would have been able to put some reasonable halts to the over construction agreed on by the previous Council. They have happily been tossing money around as frequently as the prior Council while saying “they were doing the will of the people” which is just one of their many fabrications as to why things are being done that have clearly been opposed by the current residents of Ridgewood. “

Ridgewood NJ, The “Ridgewood Guild” is an organization that, according to their website, is”dedicated to making Ridgewood a more enjoyable place to shop, dine, and visit.”  The site also claims that they want to “create a better Ridgewood.”
