Over the past week I have read numerous posts about people going to grocery stores, drug stores and takeout restaurants and behaving incredibly poorly. A couple of tips. 1. If you are going to the store this shouldn’t be a family field trip. Only one of you should be the designated person going in and out. The less touching, interaction, etc. the better for your family, other shoppers and the workers.

They quickly learned that the digital age comes at a price , someone hacked into the ZOOM meeting and started showing porn . Yuup the Village may never recover .

Ridgewood NJ, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo urged US citizens currently overseas that wish to return home to do so as quickly as possible. Secretary Pompeo emphasized that the US government remains committed to repatriating US citizens during this crisis. However, the continued operation of international commercial air service remains uncertain, and the US government cannot guarantee that it will be able to coordinate charter flights in the future. The United States has repatriated 27,572 Americans from nearly 60 countries since the end of January.

Ridgewood NJ, according to Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security ,a new study published in the US CDC’s Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report describes the prevalence of certain underlying health conditions among COVID-19 patients in the United States and associations with severe disease. The US CDC COVID-19 Response Team evaluated data on 122,653 US COVID-19 patients identified between February 12 and March 28.

Yesterday, I received a Letter of Health Consultation (LHC) from the New Jersey Department of Health (NJDOH) addressing health concerns related to possible exposure from contaminated fill at the Orchard Elementary School. As you may recall, we had been in consultation with the NJDOH to schedule a public meeting; however, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a public meeting is no longer an option. So many April Fools’ jokes come to mind today…unfortunately, none are funny. I wrote this sentence first thing this morning; then, many people called, texted, and even forwarded an April Fools’ Day letter allegedly from my office saying we have no April break and are going to be in school until July 21st…not true! But, it was kind of funny and “got” me and many others. People are creative.

Ridgewoood NJ, according to Rasmussen Reports ,voters question how long the United States can remain locked down because of the coronavirus, and most share President Trump’s worry that the government may go too far in its efforts to defeat the disease.
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that only 36% of Likely U.S. Voters think the United States can afford to remain largely shutdown for an indefinite period of time to limit the spread of the coronavirus. A plurality (46%) believes America can’t afford an indefinite shutdown, while 18% are not sure.

MIDLAND PARK NJ, The state economy will be facing a deluge of business closings if it doesn’t do more to help employers, according to a COVID-19 Business Impact Survey by Assemblyman Christopher DePhillips.
Of the 121 survey responses, nearly half (45%) will not survive the next three weeks, and one-hundred (83.3%) businesses will be closed by the end of June.
