Ridgewood NJ, The body of an adult male was found inside of a recreational vehicle parked in the driveway of a Lincoln Avenue, Glen Rock home on Tuesday afternoon, 09/12. Glen Rock PD is being assisted in the investigation by members of the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office Bureau of Criminal Identification and the Bergen County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Glen Rock NJ, like Ridgewood Glen Rock will be undergoing major street milling and repaving the next couple of weeks .
The first leg will begin on Thursday September 7th and 8th and the second leg will begin Thursday September 14th .

Glen Rock NJ, according to Glen Rock Police a non profit organization called “Clean Water Action” an anti Trump , anti energy independence leftist activist group will be conducting neighborhood canvassing over the next few weeks. This organization is engaging in constitutionally protected political activity that neither the Police Department nor the Borough can prohibit. Glen Rock NJ, according to the Glen Rock Police , A Glen Rock man reported that his bicycle, valued at $200, was stolen from the NJ Transit Bergen County Line Train Station during the day. He had left the bicycle unlocked next to a bench before getting on a train at about 8AM and discovered it missing when he returned at 4 PM.
There have been a series of these types of robberies at NJT train stations along both the Main Line and the Bergen Line including some in Ridgewood , please lock your bikes up !
The Glen Rock detective bureau is currently investigating a series of bicycle thefts from both the Main Line and Bergen County Line Boro Hall NJ Transit train stations. As of this time there are no known witnesses or evidence. Anyone with information is asked to contact detectives at (201) 670-3947 or (201) 670-3948. Glen Rock NJ, Glen Rock Police responded to a four (4) vehicle, chain reaction collision on Route 208 northbound near Harristown Road on Thursday afternoon, 08/17. One (1) person was transported by a Glen Rock EMS ambulance to The Valley Hospital with non life threatening arm and leg injuries. All four (4) vehicles sustained damage that required their respective removal from the scene by flatbed tow trucks. Fair Lawn Police assisted with traffic control.
Glen Rock NJ, Glen Rock PD officers monitored a large, Sunday evening, 08/06, labor union protest on Dunham Place, Glen Rock. The protest involved an ongoing labor dispute between a NYC based cable TV company and members of a electrical workers union. A regional vice president for the cable TV company lives in Glen Rock.
Glen Rock NJ, A tractor trailer hauling an over sized load through Glen Rock on Thursday afternoon, 07/27,was unable to successfully clear a grade level NJ Transit railroad crossing on Rock Road before warning gates lowered and hit the tractor. Two (2) Glen Rock Police uniformed patrol supervisors who were escorting the vehicle ordered the truck driver to back up off of the tracks to avoid a potential train vs. truck collision. The damaged warning gate was repaired by a NJ Transit Maintenance of Way technician, at which time train traffic was resumed. The over sized vehicle was backed westward on Rock Road to Main Street in order that it could continue on its way to Paramus. A NJ Transit Emergency Services Unit also responded to the scene. No injuries were reported by the truck driver. At least two (2) NJ Transit Bergen Line trains were significantly delayed due by the incident.
Glen Rock NJ, An early Monday afternoon, 06/26, two (2) vehicle crash on Prospect Street in Glen Rock, resulted in both cars being towed from the scene. No injuries were reported when a Honda Accord struck a parked Toyota Corolla. Glen Rock PD handled the investigation and documentation.
Ridgewood NJ, A home on Leonard Place in Ridgewood was surrounded by Ridgewood Police and Glen Rock Police officers armed with assault rifles on Saturday evening, 06/24. Two (2) Bergen County Sheriff’s officers were also observed at the scene. Leonard Place is completely blocked off to vehicular and pedestrian traffic. The circumstances surrounding the incident are currently unknown.
Glen Rock NJ, Glen Rock FD and Hawthorne Fire Department Engine Company #4 personnel were dispatched to 84 Rutland Road, Glen Rock on Friday afternoon, 06/23, in response to a 911 telephone call reporting a possible hazardous materials spill near a storm drain. The spilled liquid was identified as latex paint and was washed off the roadway into the storm drain (which was subsequently flushed with HFD E4’s tank water) based on directions from the County of Bergen HazMat Unit provided via telephone. No injuries were reported in the incident. Glen Rock Police also responded.
Glen Rock NJ, The driver of a silver colored 4-door Nissan Altima sedan was transported to The Valley Hospital by a Glen Rock EMS ambulance following a Sunday morning, 06/11, collision with a utility pole on Ackerman Avenue near South Maple Avenue, Glen Rock. Injuries to the victim appeared to have been non life threatening. The damaged Nissan was removed from the scene by a flatbed tow truck. Glen Rock Police is investigating the incident. A paramedic team from The Valley Hospital also responded to the scene.
Glen Rock NJ, A two (2) vehicle collision at the intersection of Park Avenue and South Maple Avenue in Glen Rock on Saturday afternoon, 06/10, resulted in ambulance rides to The Valley Hospital for both adult female drivers and heavily damaged two (2) black colored sedans. Injuries sustained by the two (2) victims appeared to have been non life threatening Glen Rock PD and EMS responded to the incident. A flatbed tow truck removed both wrecks from the scene.
Glen Rock NJ, Early this morning Glen Rock PD patrol officers found several vehicles that had just been burglarized. A perimeter was setup and a K9 track located one suspect hiding in bushes who was arrested by police. Assisting with the arrest were officers from the Ridgewood Police Department and Bergen County Sheriff’s Department.
We are still investigating and believe there were additional actors. As of now, we have about 15 reported vehicle burglaries. The known locations are Kent Road, Greenway Road, Oak Knoll Road, Lowell Road, Hillside Avenue and Rock Road. Four additional vehicle burglaries were reported on the Boulevard over the past weekend. The Hawthorne and Allendale Police Departments are also investigating car burglaries that may or may not be related over the past few weeks. The GRPD Detective Bureau is asking anyone with home vi deo surveillance systems to review footage between 1:00 AM and 3:30 AM this morning to see if they captured any suspects and or vehicles on video.
