Ridgewood NJ, In a blow to Governor Murphy, Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said earlier Sunday the White House and Congress could reach a deal today on supplemental funding for small businesses. Mnuchin said President Trump is prepared to discuss funding for state and local governments in the next bill while this package focuses on loans to small businesses and hospitals and testing.

Governors Establish Multi-State COVID 19 Council to Get People Back to Work and Restore the Economy

Cuomo, Connecticut Governor Ned Lamont, Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf, Delaware Governor John Carney and Rhode Island Governor Gina Raimondo today announced Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker is joining the multi-state council to restore the economy and get people back to work. Ridgewood NJ, a recent article on NJ Insider attempting to quell the push to get the economy going promoting the false dichotomy that some how “Ranking Economic Benefits Over Human Life is Offensive ” . Life  is a functioning economy end of story . Only someone who lives at the charity of others would  not understand this.

Funny but the politicians in Trenton see fit to simultaneously raise the fuel tax and tolls on the NJ Turnpike and the Garden State Parkway  so apparently “Ranking Economic Benefits Over Human Life ” is ok for them . So if we can raise taxes , we can go back to work.

Voters Fear Indefinite Shutdown, Worry Government May Make Things Worse

Ridgewoood NJ, according to Rasmussen Reports ,voters question how long the United States can remain locked down because of the coronavirus, and most share President Trump’s worry that the government may go too far in its efforts to defeat the disease.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that only 36% of Likely U.S. Voters think the United States can afford to remain largely shutdown for an indefinite period of time to limit the spread of the coronavirus. A plurality (46%) believes America can’t afford an indefinite shutdown, while 18% are not sure.

NJ Assembly Republicans Push Bill to Cut State Corporate Income Taxes

Trenton NJ,  Assembly Republicans are walking to their talk of cutting the corporate business tax to make the state more business friendly. Assemblymen Christopher DePhillips and John DiMaio are introducing a bill (A3754) with Assemblywoman Serena DiMaso that would gradually cut the rate to a flat 2.5 percent.

“The reason we need a tax incentive program to attract businesses is because taxes are too high,” said DePhillips (R-Bergen). “The simple answer is to lower the rate to a point that makes New Jersey more attractive financially than other states.”
