Glen Rock NJ, according to NJ Transit Police there are over 300 public grade crossings throughout the NJ TRANSIT system. Each, with warning signals and signs to keep you safe. Recently, there has been an unfortunate increase in grade crossing incidents. Accidents happen when pedestrians or drivers disregard warning signals and go around active crossing gates. This is illegal and it is EXTREMELY dangerous. Far too often, an attempt to beat the train, becomes a tragic, yet avoidable mistake. For the safety of yourself, NJ TRANSIT train crews, and passengers; please follow all grade crossing safety signals.
