New York  NY, CBS has officially canceled The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, citing massive financial losses rather than political pressure, according to network insiders.

Despite The Late Show maintaining the No. 1 spot in late-night TV ratings, the show was reportedly bleeding $40 million to $50 million annually due to a decline in advertising revenue and shrinking viewership among younger audiences.
