Englewood NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced that on September 15, 2023, RANDY MANNING formerly of Englewood, NJ was sentenced to a term of life imprisonment in New Jersey State Prison after being convicted of murder, arson, desecration of human remains, and weapons offenses in connection with the death of Rhian Stoute in August 2011.

Paramus NJ, the Port Authority of NY & NJ recently donated a 2009 International Port Authority Police Emergency Service Unit (ESU) Rescue Truck to the Paramus Police Department. This vehicle is a great addition to the Paramus Police Emergency Service Unit (ESU) Fleet as it provides the ability to carry specialized equipment and personnel to large scale incidents. With the assistance of the Paramus Mechanical Division and Paramus Traffic Maintenance, the truck was just placed into service. In a Facebook post the Paramus Police Department said , (they) ” greatly appreciates the partnership with the Port Authority and are extremely grateful for their generosity.”

The arrest is the result of a joint investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and several other Bergen County police departments.
Paramus NJ, members from the Paramus Fire Department, Paramus Rescue Squad, Paramus Police Department, and mutual aid companies responded to a structure fire from a lighting strike ,July 14th at 8:15am .
The fire was quickly knocked down without any serious injuries.

On June 7, 2023, following a six-week jury trial before the Honorable Gary N. Wilcox, J.S.C., in Bergen County Superior Court, MANNING was convicted of nine charges in relation to the murder of Stoute: first-degree murder, possession of a firearm for an unlawful purpose, unlawful possession of a firearm, desecration of human remains, unlawful moving of human remains, arson, hindering apprehension by destroying or concealing evidence, hindering apprehension by giving false information to law enforcement, and unlawful taking of a means of conveyance.

Paramus NJ, a Jeep Compass rolled over its driver’s side and crashed through a fence after colliding with a Borough of Paramus sanitation truck on East Ridgewood Avenue near Route 17 at approximately 0915 hours on Tuesday, 03/07. The Jeep’s 23-year old male driver, who self extricated from the vehicle, sustained a minor hand injury in the mishap. No workers riding in the sanitation truck were injured. The truck’s front bumper was damaged during the crash. A Paramus EMS ambulance transported the injured driver to a nearby hospital. The Jeep was righted and removed from the scene by a hydraulic lift tow truck. Paramus Police Department investigated the crash. Paramus Fire Company #1 also responded, as did a unit from the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office.

Paramus NJ, two (2) non life threatening injuries were reported following a early Saturday afternoon, 01/14, collision between a dump truck and an SUV at the intersection of East Ridgewood Avenue and Forest Avenue in Paramus. Following impact, the dump truck careened off the roadway onto the front lawn of a nearby single family home. Separate ambulances transported the victims to a local hospital. Both vehicles were towed from the scene by a pair of flatbed tow trucks. Paramus Police Department, Paramus Fire Department, and Paramus EMS personnel and equipment responded to the incident.
