Ridgewood NJ, saying the Summer is here and there is no better time to enjoy all the Village has to offer than these next few weeks . Mayor Paul Vagianos offered a big shout out to Nancy Bigos, Director of Parks and Recreation and her staff, who have worked hard to ensure that Graydon Pool, one of Ridgewood’s best amenities, is fully staffed with lifeguards for the first time since the pandemic. We’re one of the only communities that still has a natural-fed pool, one that helps create fond summer memories for so many families.

Ridgewood NJ, we’d like to know the name of the Village employee who decided it was okay to block off nine revenue-generating, premium parking spaces every Sunday through Friday so that the vehicle stop barriers used when the pedestrian plaza is set up on Saturday could be kept nearby.

Ridgewood NJ, the pedestrian plaza was cancelled on Sunday due to inclement weather . This means all the streets in the Central Business District (CBD) are wide open. Which brings up an interesting point of contention. Merchants were told once the pedestrian plaza was set up it was there for the weekend , rain or shine. So what changed ? Seems rumblings from the merchants and many restaurants are that the pedestrian plaza has failed to bring in the business . Many of the social media boosters who said they would never shop in Ridgewood if there was no pedestrian plaza , have never shopped in Ridgewood .Much of the Village Council like the social media boosters have abandoned the Village central business district for the Jersey shore.

Ridgewood NJ, the rat problem persists in the Central Business District . Once again sources are reporting a big rat problem behind Ridgewood coffee and apartments. Rats are not usually seen during the day unless disturbed from their protective harborage or because of intolerable competition from other rats. If rats are seen during the day that usually means a very large rodent population is nearby.
