Tell them the Mayor of Robert St. …. will find out who the are…. and reverse the threat.

Too bad that the RBSA has adopted such “wiseguy” tactics.

It can’t be Gary, there are no misspellings…..

Ouch–apparently the truth hurts. Hear anybody denying RBSA’s questionable financial practices or demonstrating that the accusations are not correct?

Jim is “always available”….except, we have learned, when it is time to vote in local elections….

I actually like the mayor and would want to support his choice but I just can’t pull the lever for someone who doesn’t bother to vote.

I am also a bit turned off by the whole astroturf the world thing. Enough already. So they play on grass and dirt. At least it produces oxygen and helps cool the earth instead of being just more pavement.

Watched the debate on ustream and not sure why the RBSA tax issue was raised but Jim was prepared with his answer “lawyer is looking into it” not a great response. Why did the RBSA fail to file tax returns for so many years and where does all the money go? Is it possible the “volunteers” are drawing salaries? Why did Jim become so defensive? Is this how he’ll treat the public if he doesn’t like the question?

Interesting he was prepared for the RBSA tax question but not for his voting record in municipal elections. Acting confused over presidential and municipal. He had to know he never voted in Mayl. Not sure this was important but he misled then lied and so now it’s important.

Misleading the people is serious. Are we being misled by Jim about his reason for running. This RBSA endorsement of Jim is clear he’s the sports candidate. As a parent with two kids in the RBSA program I am interested in their accounting practices. Everyone giving money to the RBSA should request to see the books.

The letters to the editor in today’s Ridgewood News in support of Albano were interesting. A couple had nasty rants about a woman who was not even running and the others praised him for his service to youth sports.

If you are going to write in supoort of a candidate, stick to the subject. Writing negative comments about a resident does not make Albano look any better.

Keep it positive. I associate the negativity with your candidate.

Annual RBSA Parade and Family Fun Day in Ridgewood

Annual RBSA Parade and Family Fun Day, Saturday, April 26

Grand Marshall is “The Special All Stars”.  Special All Stars is a program designed to give children with special needs, in and around our community, an opportunity to play baseball/softball with the help of community volunteers via one on one personal instruction.

The Parade will begin as usual at 9:00 a.m. at the Ridgewood Train Station on the Wilsey Square side of town and will conclude at the Kasschau Band Shell at Vets Field.
Bring your family and enjoy food, activities and the RHS Varsity Baseball Game. We are looking for parent volunteers. If you would like to participate as a volunteer please contact Brendan Buckley; Brendan.Buckley@pinebridge.com

All Players and Coaches should be at the train station 8:30am.   This year we ask that each player brings (1) non-perishable food item to the train station. The Social Services Association of Ridgewood and Vicinity will be collecting these for the needy in our immediate area. PLEASE SUPPORT THEM by bring a box of cereal, can of soup, or any item you can spare.

There will be RBSA Board Members walking around with Help Signs should any player or parent need assistance. Please view the attached TEAM ASSEMBLY AREA MAP.

PARENTS and COACHES – the Parade Assembly Area and the congregation of Teams at the Band Shell at the end of the Parade route is very chaotic.DO NOT LEAVE ANY CHILD UNATTENDED. If you find any child in need of help, bring them to the Band Shell and summon a Parade Marshal.

I think it’s clear that based on the wording of the letter, that Jim sounds like he would vote for anything to get his baseball fields built. I wouldn’t bet on a no vote on any other expansion plans if he can get others to vote for his fields.

glad this is out finally and gary is telling the truth. jim is only the sports candidate and will say anything to get elected. jim thinks the hospital is to much for his neighborhood but doesn’t care about another part of ridgewood. elect him so he can represent his buddies but not the rest of ridgewood. don’t beleive anything jim says about being against the hospital and does he really think the hospital will withdraw the plans because he said so? anyone who thinks the rbsa will bench their kid for not helping jim should probably not be in such a bad program. when i registered my kids for rbsa i didn’t think i was registering for politics.
thanks gary for exposing jims real agenda.

Gary is politically active and should have kept the RBSA out of the political fray. He and other trustees have no longer have children in the program. It’s really time to pass the torches on to new volunteers.

Flawed bid process will delay Maple Field cleanup in Ridgewood

The Ridgewood Council has rejected the lone bid it received for the Maple Park turf cleaning job, a move that will delay a much-needed procedure at one of the village’s most used fields.

According to a council resolution unanimously passed last week, the village will put the project back out for public bid because the initial bid process was declared flawed.
