Ridgewood NJ, Forbes has named NJ TRANSIT to its renowned America’s Best Employers By State 2021 list. Of the 1,330 employers that made the final list, only 90 New Jersey organizations were included in the annual top pick ranking which, according to Forbes, measures leading companies from around the world to identify those best-liked by employees. In 2018, NJ TRANSIT was named one of the country’s top 500 employers in Forbes’ America’s Best Employers 2018 list.

Ridgewood NJ,  With its new Map My Ride feature, NJ TRANSIT is launching additional new capabilities in its mobile app that allow customers to track locations of their buses and trains. With a simple tap on their mobile device, customers can see the location of the next bus or train along with the estimated arrival time to their location. The mobile app update also provides enhanced integration with NJT Rewards, the program where customers can earn points for deals and discounts.

Bus terminal’s planned move to Wilsey Square vetoed by Village Council

Ridgewood NJ, Village Council members Wednesday night resoundingly rejected a plan to relocate the Village’s bus terminal from Van Neste Square to Wilsey Square, citing the proposed elimination of 17 municipal parking spaces (at Wilsey Square) in conjunction with such a plan as their major concern.

Ridgewood NJ, NJ TRANSIT buses, light rail and Access Link will operate on a regular weekday schedule for as long as weather and road conditions allow.  Rail service will run on a Level 2 Severe Weather Schedule due to the predicted severe winter storm starting tomorrow. NJ TRANSIT OUTLINES SERVICE LEVELS FOR BLACK FRIDAY TRAVELERS

Ridgewood NJ, on Friday, November 27, trains will operate on an enhanced weekend/major holiday schedule (the same schedule as operated on Martin Luther King Jr. and Presidents Days), with extra trains during morning and afternoon/evening peak periods and rail service on the Gladstone Branch. Hudson-Bergen Light Rail will operate on a regular weekday schedule.  Newark Light Rail will operate on a Saturday schedule.  River LINE will operate on a weekday schedule.  Holiday bus schedules vary by route—customers are advised to visit njtransit.com.
