Ridgewood NJ, Parents and all adults who work with youth have an opportunity to talk with and walk with young people to connect faith and life. Youth today are making big decisions about their lives, who to be with, where they are going, and how they will prepare for their future.

Young people in our parishes need someone to accompany them; they need faith companions. Parents of adolescents deserve support and tools for making the faith connection
.
As Jesus walked with the disciples on the road to Emmaus, we can accompany youth, listen to their questions, witness to faith, lead them to encounter Jesus, and empower them for mission. Join us for this workshop to share the skills we can use to help our young people build on their faith as they journey through life.

Trenton NJ, The New Jersey Outdoor Alliance on Tuesday released a statement condemning comments made by Governor Phil Murphy on News12 New Jersey’s “Ask Governor Murphy” program indicating he is “1,000% committed” to ending the New Jersey black bear hunt, referring to a campaign promise made in his 2017 run for Governor.

“For a sitting Governor to fly directly in the face of scientists and experts that urge the continuation of this conservation management tool to score some points with extremists is absurd.” said NJOA spokesman Cody McLaughlin, “He said he was ‘1,000% committed’ to ending the bear hunt, but what he was really saying was he was 1,000% committed to rejecting the scientific consensus on New Jersey’s bear population.”

Reader says the Ridgewood Council Can’t Please Everyone

69871200 2548212938532290 9069006101873164288 o

“Well they are not pleasing everybody all the time; that is for sure. I am totally against the parking garage. I am for the Schedler house but not the property being developed. I am for the renovation of the library. so there.

The Village suit it turned out had no legality. It was turned down by the courts. The current council had no power to change the density of the multi family housing. The suit was about limiting the density to 25 or 30 units. It was not about stopping the housing from going up. That was passed by the the Three Amigos with the high density of 50 units per acre instead of 25. Plus the current council limited the size the garage to fit the current lot; because a larger garage would have been too ugly. Although I wanted NO GARGARE; I appreciate the current size decision even if it costs more money. I don’t want any garage I repeat. Aesthetics are very important to me.”

WP 20191004 07 45 35 Pro e1570328608421

” Its Greek to me is bright blue. Lisas Mediterranean is red and gold. Jekyll and Hyde is green Let’s face it, there is plenty of color on Ridgewood stores but for some reason, these two do not like the orange Racefaster. It is disgusting how this new business is being treated and it is certainly not reflective of a newcomer should be welcomed to town. “

Reader Blames Current Council for the Elks club purchase, the library’s proposed “beautification” and the throwing away money on the useless Schedler house reconstruction

63891456 2385753121485754 2123179682202386432 n

” This Council has been totally responsible for the purchase of the Elks club, the library’s proposed “beautification” and the throwing away of massive amounts of money on the totally useless Schedler house reconstruction. And, if they had deigned to side with the citizens of the Village’s suit, they would have been able to put some reasonable halts to the over construction agreed on by the previous Council. They have happily been tossing money around as frequently as the prior Council while saying “they were doing the will of the people” which is just one of their many fabrications as to why things are being done that have clearly been opposed by the current residents of Ridgewood. “
