In theory we have no objection but we would be far more supportive if it was not coming from the anti school budget vote gang .
Neptune NJ, the New Jersey Turnpike Authority will pay $250,000 to settle a driver’s lawsuit that was filed after a former State Trooper downloaded an intimate video from her cellphone during a 2016 traffic stop on the Garden State Parkway.
Ridgewood NJ, Ridgewood Emergency Services held its TIES (Teenagers in Emergency Services) training in CPR at it’s recent drill night. Over 40 High School students learning CPR for the first time and several refreshing their skills. They are the First Responders on scene when seconds count, be it at home, at school, on the street or at the mall. Learning CPR and volunteering with Ridgewood Emergency Services are valuable skills. The teens are our future EMTs, Paramedics, Doctors, Nurses, Police Officers and Firefighters.

Ridgewood NJ, as the pandemic wanes the RIDGEWOOD SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA is back to rehearsing in person—safely!—for its concert on Friday, May 6. The program will include masterpieces by Igor Stravinsky, American composer Richard Danielpour and Gustav Mahler. Acclaimed violist Brett Deubner will make a guest appearance for Danielpour’s “The Voyager,” and soprano Kristen Plumley, a longtime Ridgewood resident, will join the orchestra for Mahler’s Symphony No. 4. Ridgewood NJ, Google search results are dying as most of the web has become too inauthentic to trust. Most people now use Google to search through Reddit posts for answers. Serving ads creates misaligned incentives for search engines, SEO has resulted in poor quality sites surfacing to the top of search results, people lookup and AI now tries to figure out what the user wants rather than through only search terms. Reddit results are more authentic as people discuss what they think without the commercial aspect other websites have.

Ridgewood NJ, the Ridgewood Police Department is proud to announce that Officer Vincenzo Vaccarella was officially sworn in by Mayor Susan Knudsen at February 9th’s council meeting. Vincenzo completed his training at the Bergen County Police Academy in December. Vincenzo is the son of Officer Rosario Vaccarella, grandson of retired Captain Keith Killion, and nephew of Detective Keith Killion Jr. The department is proud to have him carry on the family tradition of service to the Village. Vincenzo’s mother Kim held the Bible as his family looked on.
Ho-Ho-Kus NJ, the developer has a project for an apartment complex with 67 units, mainly 1-2 bedroom and a few 3 bedroom units and also129 parking spaces and some retail space. This will be built in the lot behind Red Cedar, from Grandma’s Attic to Barnett Place and 1st street where the footprint is around 1.5 acres. This is a very high density development for a small village like Ho-Ho-Kus . The plan was changed after the developer got all the variances and final approval from NJ DEP due to the proximity to Ho-Ho-Kus Brook.
Ridgewood NJ, three Ridgewood High School a cappella groups the (Rhapsodies, AcaBellas, and Maroon Men) competed this past weekend in the International Championship of High School A Cappella (ICHSA) Mid-Atlantic Quarterfinal in Neptune, NJ. Sanjna Rajagopalan from the AcaBellas earned Outstanding Arrangement for her arrangement “Bills, Bills, Bills” and the Maroon Men placed 2nd advancing on to Semifinals on March 26th.
Ridgewood NJ, Ridgewood Police captured an individual who allegedly tried to steal a Honda Odyssey from the driveway of a home in the 300 block of Gilbert Street, Ridgewood on Wednesday morning, 02/09. After being confronted by the Honda’s owner, the suspect fled Gilbert Street in a vehicle reportedly stolen from a Queens, NY based driving school, but not before leaving a bottle of liquor inside of the Honda. He was subsequently spotted driving through several Ridgewood and Glen Rock residential neighborhoods after leaving Gilbert Street, but was eventually captured in the parking lot of a Dunkin’ Donuts illegally parked at the intersection of Franklin Turnpike and Route 17 southbound in Ridgewood. The stolen driving school vehicle was impounded by Ridgewood Police and transported to their headquarters by a tow truck. The suspect was also transported to Ridgewood Police for processing. No injuries nor motor vehicle crashes were reported in connection with the incident.
Ridgewood NJ, Peloton’s John Foley will be stepping down as CEO. Former Spotify CFO Barry McCarthy will take over the role. Foley will remain on as Executive Chair. Peloton is cutting 2,800 jobs globally, around 20% of its corporate workforce. The company invested heavily in production in 2021 but saw a decrease in demand this year. It has now halted all production of its treadmill and bike products.
