Ridgewood Nj,  Ridgewood Water will host an Open House event will be at the Ridgewood Public Library at 125 North Maple Avenue from 6 to 8pm, October 16th. The first of two Open Houses the second will be on October 24th at the Midland Park Fire House Social Hall 45 Witte drive Midland Park from 6 to 8pm. Ridgewood Water will discuss the PFAS service charge, lead pipes and other pressing issues.

The 65th Anniversary Season of The Kasschau Memorial Shell – Veterans Field in Ridgewood

Ridgewood NJ, The 65th Anniversary Season of The Kasschau Memorial Shell – Veterans Field – behind the Ridgewood Public Library, will begin on June 1st at 8:00 p.m. The performances will continue on Tuesday and Thursday evenings through the beginning of August. The performance are free and open to the public. Please bring a chair or a blanket. To help fund the newest season of programming, the shell is running a community donation campaign with the goal of raising $25,000. Funds raised will be used to produce upcoming events, as well as the scholarship fund. Donations may be made on the Shell’s website: www.KasschauMemorialShell.com. All contributing donors will be recognized on the Kasschau Memorial Shell website, while donors that contribute $50 or more will be recognized on a donor wall that will be present at all concerts throughout the 2023 season.

The Bolger Foundation, has recommitted its $1 million matching donation in support of the Ridgewood Library’s current renovation plans

Ridgewood NJ, the Ridgewood Public Library is excited to announce that the Bolger Foundation, a longtime supporter of the Ridgewood Library Foundation, has recommitted its $1 million matching donation in support of the Ridgewood Library’s current renovation plans. “This donation will allow us to expand our current plans to renew other areas of the library including our much-used auditorium and upgrade our technology training room to showcase our maker space equipment and programs,” said library director Lorri Steinbacher. Ridgewood Public Library Hosts , A History Lover’s Guide to Bergen County Book Talk

Ridgewood NJ, Meet authors Bob Nesoff and Howard Joseph Cohn, as they talk about their recently published book “A History Lover’s Guide to Bergen County”. Travel through various historic sites dating back to pre-Revolutionary times all the way up to the modern day with the Teterboro Air Museum and Hall of Fame. The authors will talk about their favorite sites such as the Old ’76 House (originally in Bergen County) which was a tavern, but also known for the location where British spy Benedict Arnold and co-conspirator Major John Andre were held before their trial. Q&A to follow their talk, and you’ll have an opportunity to purchase a signed copy of the book.

Ridgewood NJ, Abraham Lincoln was born in Hardin County, Kentucky, on February 12 in 1809. He lived for a time in Indiana before moving to Illinois. He worked on a farm, split rails for fences, worked in a store, was a captain in the Black Hawk War, and worked as a lawyer. He married Mary Todd and together they had four boys, only one of whom lived to maturity.
