Former Ridgewood Dry Cleaner Building Set for Redevelopment

Ridgewood NJ, a mixed-use building in Ridgewood will be redeveloped into a new retail location with second-floor office space. The announcement of the project was made June 22 by Lee & Associates New Jersey. The firm arranged the sale of the 3,200-square-foot site at 15 Godwin Avenue, which currently houses Spotless Cleaners & Dryers , to family real estate company Abaco.

NJ Transit Forced to Shut Down Train Service Friday Evening Over What it Called an ‘illegal job action’

Ridgewood NJ, Due to an illegal job action initiated Friday morning by the locomotive engineers’ union (BLE&T), rail service was terminated early Friday evening and remained temporarily suspended for the remainder of the service day on Friday, June 17th.

Americans Headed Back to Sporting Events and Restaurants But Still Not the Office

Neighbors Forced to Clean Up Village of Ridgewood Property

After the Village failed to respond to numerous complaints from neighbors a near by building super took it on himself to clean up Village property  removing brush and fixing the lawn .

NJ Transit: Masks No Longer Required

Ridgewood NJ, The federal TSA announced that it will no longer enforce a mask mandate in public transportation settings. Masks will no longer be required on NJ TRANSIT and by South Jersey Transportation Authority. Individuals may wear a mask based on personal preference, informed by personal level of risk.

Ridgewood NJ, Governor Phil Murphy today announced his intention to nominate Carlos A. Medina, Esq, Kiabi Carson, and Evan Weiss to the NJ TRANSIT Board of Directors. The Governor will also directly appoint Rashonda Brown and Karen Thomas to serve on the board. As the Murphy Administration continues to improve and invest in NJ TRANSIT, the new members will bring “fresh and diverse” perspectives to the Board.

No Fare Increase For NJ Transit

Ridgewood NJ, Governor Phil Murphy, Lieutenant Governor Sheila Oliver, NJDOT Commissioner and NJ TRANSIT Board Chair Diane Gutierrez-Scaccetti and NJ TRANSIT President & CEO Kevin S. Corbett  announced on Monday ,February 28th the fifth consecutive year of no fare increases for NJ TRANSIT and that Wi-Fi will be installed on all NJ TRANSIT buses .

NJ TRANSIT ADDING ADDITIONAL MULTILEVEL RAIL CARS

Ridgewood NJ, the NJ TRANSIT Board of Directors today approved the purchase of 25 additional Multilevel III rail cars. The purchase exercises options on the original December 2018 contract with Alstom for the purchase of 113 new Multilevel III rail cars.  The additional 25 cars in this action are funded as part of the Portal North Bridge project which will increase peak-hour peak-direction customer capacity.
