Ridgewood NJ, during Saturdays Nor-ester a tree and utility pole went down at the intersection of Highland Avenue and Gardner Road. Residents in the area were without power. PSE&G and the Ridgewood Police and Fire Department responded . No injuries reported.
Ridgewood NJ, a tree toppled by high winds Thursday morning on Knollwood Road. Several homes in the area are without power. Property damage appears to have been confined to one (1) automobile. Ridgewood Police , Fire and Emergency Services on location. No injuries reported. The power outage seemed to be interfering with several, residents remote work routines .

Of Washington NJ, Three (3) vehicles parked in the driveway of a single family home were destroyed when a tree fell in the 200 block of Cosman Street, Washington Township on Saturday morning, 05/09. A Washington Township Police uniformed patrol officer responded to process a property damage report. The home escaped damage, with the exception of a downed telephone/cable TV/internet service line.

Ridgewood NJ, Very high winds toppled a large tree owned by the Village of Ridgewood located in the 600 block of Hillcrest Road, Ridgewood on Monday afternoon, 02/25. A single family home sustained structural and cosmetic damage when the tree crashed into the home’s front side. Ridgewood Police and Ridgewood Fire Department responded to the incident. No injuries were reported, but the Village’s Building Department deemed the structure uninhabitable until repairs are made. As of Monday evening, 02/25, the tree’s remains had not yet been removed from where it had fallen.

No injuries were reported, but at least two (2) vehicles and single family homes were damaged by falling branches. Fair Lawn Police responded to the incident.

No injuries were reported in the incident, but the occupants of the home were asked to evacuate the structure. Glen Rock Police also responded, as did Hawthorne Fire Engine Company #4.
Ridgewood NJ, Neighborhood electric and communication services were disrupted when a large tree fell on High Street in Ridgewood during an early morning storm on Saturday, 07/08. Ridgewood Police and Fire department units responded. No injuries were reported and property damages appeared to have been minimal.
Ridgewood NJ, Ridgewood PD Patrol Officer Salvatore D’Amico processed a property damage report in connection with damage to a parked 4-door BMW sedan caused by a downed tree at 1250 East Ridgewood Avenue, Ridgewood on Thursday morning, 03/02. The vehicle was able to be driven away from the incident on its own power following removal of the tree.
Hawthorne NJ, Localized power outages occurred when a large evergreen tree fell in front of 70 Watchung Drive, Hawthorne on Saturday morning, 07/30. Portions of Watchung Drive were impassable for over two (2) hours. Electric power was restored by PSE&G crews after a tree service removed the fallen tree. There appeared to have been no damage to the home at 70 Watchung Drive. Hawthorne PD responded to the incident.
Ridgewood NJ, An early afternoon wind gust felled a very large rain soaked tree limb on the property of RIdgewood High School, 627 East Ridgewood Avenue, RIdgewood on Sunday, 05/08. RIdgewood PD & FD personnel responded due to a report of wires being entangled in the felled branch. Firefighters were able to reattach the downed cable to an outside building wall, and a private tree contractor was called to remove the limb.

All members of a Ridgewood family with young children escaped injury when a large tree came crashing through the roof of their single family home on Wednesday night. The incident occurred in the 400 block of Farview Street between 11:30 and 11:45 PM. Ridgewood Police and Ridgewood Fire Department personnel rushed to the scene in response to a 911 telephone call from a concerned neighbor who witnessed the incident. Electric service to the home was severed when the tree fell, but a troubleshooter from PSE&G responded to the scene in a bucket truck, and restored power within 60 minutes. Damage to the home appeared moderate; the family was permitted to remain inside as firefighters checked the structure to ensure there were no natural gas leaks or broken pipes. A fire official on the scene identified the tree as one belonging to the Village of Ridgewood; a Village tree crew was expected to remove the tree on Thursday morning. All fire and police units cleared the scene as of 12:45 AM on Thursday.
