Westwood, NJ—The ongoing study into flood mitigation in the Pascack Valley is running into a significant roadblock: a lack of crucial operational data regarding the Woodcliff Lake Reservoir.

On October 16, 2025, Mayor Ray Arroyo hosted Professor Marouane Temimi and a colleague from the Stevens Institute of Technology at the Westwood Community Center to update about 40 residents on the Forecast Informed Reservoir Operation (FIRO) study.

11-foot Sculpture of a Massive Fish Named Finn at the Woodcliff Lake Reservoir to Highlight Conservation

Woodcliff lake NJ, to celebrate Earth Day, Bergen County Executive Jim Tedesco joined Veolia for the unveiling of an 11-foot sculpture of a massive fish named Finn at the Woodcliff Lake Reservoir to highlight conservation efforts. Constructed from repurposed metal, Finn encourages residents to recycle and is large enough to hold more than 15 trash bags of plastic bottles.

Paramus NJ, early on the morning of July 25th  a 36″ water transmission line in Spring Valley Road near the entrance to Panera Bread/Kohl’s failed. Residents in the area experienced slightly below normal water pressure. There was no boil water advisory at this time. Repairs rapidly started . The Road was closed .
