Ridgewood NJ, On Thursday, November 4, at 10 a.m., the Archdiocese of Newark will celebrate the 28th Annual Blue Mass honoring the dedication and sacrifices of all active, retired, and deceased New Jersey law enforcement personnel. The liturgy will be celebrated by Cardinal Joseph W. Tobin, C.Ss.R., Archbishop of Newark, in Newark’s Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart.

Ridgewood High School Student Wins National Association for Music Education Song Writing Competition

Reston Va, This year National Association for Music Education (NAfME) held its second Student Songwriters Competition for K–12 students. This competition provided students the opportunity to submit original songs for future performance. All entrants received written evaluations of their compositions. Cash prizes are awarded to winners and honorable mentions. All entrants receive written evaluations of their compositions. Sanjna Rajagopalan from Ridgewood High School was the winner in the High School category.

Paramus Fire Units Quickly Knock Down House Fire on Midland Avenue

Paramus NJ, on Thursday October 28th at approximately 7:30 PM,  Paramus Police and Fire Units responded to a house fire behind station 3 on Midland Avenue. Fire was knocked down quickly, but not before causing extensive damage to the 2½-story, wood-frame home.

Ridgewood NJ, if Mother Nature cooperates  New Jersey residents could see  nighttime sky glow just a bit  this weekend. NOAA’s Space Weather Prediction Center—a division of the National Weather Service—is monitoring the sun and solar winds following a significant solar flare and Coronal Mass Ejection (CME) from the sun that occurred around 11:35 a.m. EDT on Oct. 28. The event is predicted to be a strong geomagnetic storm arriving at earth on Oct. 30. After careful analysis of all available data, the Center issued a Geomagnetic Storm Watch, which remains in effect through Oct 31.

The “Kook Fringe” Doubles Down on Support for Village Council Candidate Paul Vagianos

Ridgewood NJ, last week Glen Rock council discussed removing Good Friday as a holiday. The same  “kook fringe “ under the banner of JOLT has endorsed “take a knee” , Village Council Candidate Paul Vagianos.

While endorsing Candidate Paul Vagianos JOLT claims “falsehoods” are being disseminated about Vagianos , (like what?) and then they attempt to hide behind the veil of “civility ” and “honesty” . Where have we heard that before?

Frankly anyone who is successful and so ungrateful as to “take a knee” is not suited nor qualified for public office .
