Ridgewood NJ, online brokerage Robinhood has been one of the big financial stories of 2021, with its starring role in a fable called “waves of day traders made life uncomfortable for Wall Street shorts”, yea right.  On Thursday though, it was time for the trading platform to feel the squeeze. Its shares ,under ticker HOOD dropped below its initial public offering price in its trading debut, arguably an embarrassment for a company that’s become synonymous with the rise of individual investors. Robinhood slid as much as 12% before climbing back closer to, but still below the IPO price in its $2.1 billion offering.

Ringwood NJ, Senator Holly Schepisi called on the Murphy administration to reverse its decision to cancel swimming completely at Ringwood State Park for the 2021 season due to a shortage of lifeguards.

“There are labor shortages all across New Jersey in virtually every industry,” said Schepisi (R-39). “Aside from the Murphy administration, everyone else is finding a way to adapt even if it means operating with fewer staff on a limited schedule. Why can’t that happen at Ringwood State Park? It doesn’t have to be all or nothing.”

Glen Rock Announces Major Repaving of the Boulevard Beginning July 30th

Glen Rock NJ,  the Boulevard resurfacing phase II  is set to begin this Friday. Please read and plan to take alternate routes in advance. On Friday  July 30th ADA compliant ramps will be installed at various intersections. On Wednesday August 4th the final phase of milling and paving the Boulevard will begin. All work should conclude by Friday August 6th .

Glen Rock NJ, The Glen Rock Police Department is investigating two large shoplifting’s that occurred on July 10 and July 15, 2021 at our Bottle King liquor store. We are attempting to identify the attached black male suspect who fled the area in a 2019 gray Nissan Sentra. He was wearing a black Lacoste hat, glasses, chain, black t-shirt, black shorts and black/white sneakers and appears to have tattoos on both of his arms. The male was accompanied by a heavyset black female. We believe the suspect hails from the Newburgh, NY area. Anyone who can identify the suspect is asked to contact D/Sgt James Calaski of the Glen Rock Police Department at 201-670-3948 or [email protected].

Ridgewood NJ, with crime targeting seniors on the raise, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella is pleased to announce a week-long senior citizen resource initiative titled, “We Care for Our Seniors” that was organized by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Community Engagement Division in partnership with the Bergen County Community Engagement Task Force. The initiative took place from Sunday, July 18 through Saturday, July 24, 2021.

The CETF is a network of Bergen County police officers who are focused on building firm and sustainable relationships between law enforcement and the communities they serve through engagement. These officers host programs and initiatives intended to improve public safety, increase communication, share resources, and build trust.

Hackensack NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of TRAVOY WARDLOW (DOB: 4/06/1999; single; unemployed) of 8 Woodrose Court, Middletown, New York on sexual assault charges. The arrest was the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love, the Hackensack Police Department under the direction of Officer In Charge Captain Darrin DeWitt and the Bergen County Sheriff’s Department under the direction of Sheriff Anthony Cureton.
