“Dining corrals” become even more hazardous for drivers

Ridgewood NJ, UPDATE:  The Ridgewood Blog has learned that since these photos were taken, small red reflectors have been installed on some of the blocks. Despite this installation, we believe that more needs to be done to ensure the safety of drivers who will be passing by these large obstacles

UPDATE : “Dining corrals” now in place on East Ridgewood Avenue

Ridgewood NJ, UPDATE:  The Ridgewood Blog has learned that since these photos were taken, small red reflectors have been installed on some of the blocks. Despite this installation, we believe that more needs to be done to ensure the safety of drivers who will be passing and parking by these large obstacles.
In case you didn’t notice, several “dining corrals” are now in place on busy East Ridgewood Avenue.

The non-tracking search engine is built on top of an independent index and is marketed as a privacy-safe alternative to products like Google search. Brave will make Brave Search the default search for its browser later this year. Pro-privacy consumer tech has been building momentum over the last few years as the public is becoming more educated on surveillance-based business models.

Toyota Announces New Capabilities for Domestic Service Robots to Aid Seniors

Ridgewood NJ, the Toyota Research Institute has developed new capabilities for its line of domestic robots, including the ability to recognize and manipulate transparent objects and to wipe down counters and tables. Japanese robot manufacturers have made it clear that they plan to create robots that will serve as domestic helpers. Japan has one of the oldest populations in the world. Robots will be able to perform tasks that people find more challenging as they get older.

MacMurphy’s Hosting July 3rd BBQ with live music all day !

On Saturday, July 3rd we will be hosting a BBQ with live music all day where a portion of our proceeds as well as a suggested $5 door donation will go directly to keeping the tradition. We hope to see all of our neighbors on the 3rd. Every little bit helps!

Ridgewood NJ, just what Ridgewood needs to help police the Hudson Garage,  Live Eye Surveillance is a surveillance camera system that lets a remote human operator intervene whenever they see something suspicious. The operators can speak through store speakers to interact with people in the store. Live Eye’s system has caused some concern with workers, especially as it could potentially make dangerous situations worse.
