MIDLAND PARK, NJ – An unusual accident late Thursday morning, October 2nd, required a quick response from emergency services after a car slammed into a retaining wall in front of a local business.

The Midland Park Police Department, Midland Park Fire Department, and Midland Park EMS all rushed to the scene at 245 Godwin Avenue after a four-door Lexus sedan crashed into the wall. The impact was significant, leaving the retaining wall—made of cinderblocks—partially destroyed and scattering debris across the area.

MAHWAH, NJ – A popular Bergen County dining spot, Novino Ristorante, has been forced to close indefinitely after a significant fire erupted at the establishment in the early hours of Thursday morning, October 2nd.

The Mahwah Fire Department Company 2 responded to Novino Ristorante on Ramapo Valley Road around 4:15 a.m., finding a fire active in the back of the building. Due to the seriousness of the situation, fire companies from across the township were dispatched, alongside a large contingent of mutual aid departments from both New Jersey and New York.
