Attorney General Matthew J. Platkin and the Division of Consumer Affairs announced that the Bureau of Securities (the “Bureau”) issued a Cease and Desist Order to stop an investment scheme purportedly powered by artificial intelligence and endorsed by Elon Musk. The website for TruthGPT Coin has since been taken down. The Bureau issued the enforcement action in coordination with several states bringing actions against Horatiu Charlie Caragaceanu and his organizations, The Shark of Wall Street and Hedge4.ai (collectively, “Respondents”).

Thursday Rush Hour Commute Out of NY Penn Station Disrupted Over Signal Problems on Portal Bridge

New York NY, commuting nightmare hits NY Penn Station on Thursday evenings rush hour when authorities  temporarily suspended NJ Transit rail service to and from Penn Station in Manhattan, New York, New York, May 11 due to a signal issue at the Portal Bridge that spans the Hackensack River in Hudson County, New Jersey. Officials did not immediately provide an estimate as to when service would resume. NJ Transit authorities have said that NJ Transit rail tickets and passes are being cross-honored by NJ Transit buses and the Port Authority Trans-Hudson (PATH) transit system at Newark Penn Station, Hoboken, and 33rd Street, New York. Amtrak train services have also experienced delays due to “signal issues and rail congestion” in the New York metropolitan area.

Washington DC, the Producer Price Index for final demand advanced 0.2 percent in April, seasonally adjusted, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported today. Final demand prices fell 0.4 percent in March and were unchanged in February.

Englewood Police Pick Up Pellet Gun Shooter in Bias Attack

Englewood NJ, on Sunday night May 7th , the Englewood Police Departments received a report of two persons shot by a pellet gun while crossing East Palisade Avenue . In an event eerily similar to a pellet gun attack in Ridgewood ,the Englewood Police department commenced with a thorough investigation and by 11 am the next morning the Englewood Police had taken a suspect into custody . The suspect was charged with two counts aggravated assault, as well as possession of a firearm for an unlawful purpose.

Englewood Fire Fighters Rescue Man Trapped Under a Vehicle

Englewood NJ, on Saturday May 6th Englewood Fire companies were dispatched to the 400 Block of North Woodland Street for a report of a person trapped under a vehicle. Firefighters found a car lift in a private home collapsing and an occupant trying to keep it from falling further. Members placed two Paratech struts to stabilize the load and make it safe. The building department was notified and a full platoon recall was requested while companies operated.

Hawthorne NJ, a Mercedes Benz SUV crashed into a condominium complex’s swimming pool cabana on Morningstar Road in Hawthorne on Wednesday morning, 05/10, causing significant exterior and interior damage to the structure. No injuries were reported in the mishap, which occurred when the vehicle’s driver started the car in a nearby parking space, and put it in gear. Hawthorne Police and Hawthorne Fire Department responded to the incident. The Mercedes was removed from the scene by a flatbed tow truck.
