Paramus NJ, in response to a wave of new development, Paramus is set to revisit its master plan, which serves as a framework for local officials to manage construction and conservation within the town.

In what some suggest may be too late ,the Borough Council recently voted to empower the Paramus Planning Board and borough planner to initiate this process.

While not mandated for another two years, the decision to review the master plan reflects a campaign pledge made by Mayor Chris DiPiazza and his fellow Republicans, who currently dominate the council, as stated by the mayor himself.

The objective is to uphold Paramus’s suburban character and preserve its distinctive ambiance, according to Mayor DiPiazza.

  2. I remember the celery farms in the good old days

  3. I don’t understand why we need all this development!!!! Trees and open space is a must!!!!!

    1. Totally agree. The overdevelopment is not going to stop until there’s no square inch of land left on which to build. The idiotic town politicians just keep allowing it rather than fighting it. I’ve lived here over 60 yrs and this town is a mess. Maybe residents in mass should attend the planning board and mayor/council meetings to make their voices heard.

      1. Residents are only TAXPAYERS.

Their job is to SHUT UP and PAY.

  4. Paramus Borough Council wants to be re-elected and doing CYA now after feeling the heat on this”Mini-town” within the town Mall decision.

  5. All you got to do is drive up to Montvale to see that monstrosity they created out of the old DePiero’s farm.

  6. Paramus is done, no more affirming community. It’s completely a city now one big melting pot. They jammed housing right up our ass. We can’t even breathe anymore. People everywhere, the traffic is just ridiculous, every county road is jammed, backed the noise, pollution, out of control. welcome to the city of Paramus. And look at Fairlawn they destroyed the whole town.

  7. Paramus has not been a small suburb for decades.
