Ramsey Man Charged on Possession of Child Pornography

Ramsey NJ, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of STEVEN W. VANDUYSEN (DOB: 11/24/1979; single; store clerk) of  Ramsey, NJ on the charge of possession of child pornography. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love.

On Friday, October 14, 2022, members of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Cyber Crimes Unit executed a search warrant at the residence of STEVEN VANDUYSEN during an Internet child sexual abuse material investigation. The investigation revealed that VANDUYSEN used the Internet to view, download, and possess over 100 files depicting nude and/or sexually explicit prepubescent children.

As a result of the investigation, STEVEN VANDUYSEN was arrested on Thursday, October 14, 2022 in Paramus, NJ and charged with third-degree possession of child pornography, N.J.S.A. 2C: 24-4b(5). VANDUYSEN was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending a first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack.

Prosecutor Musella states that the charge is merely an accusation and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. Prosecutor Musella thanks the Ramsey Police Department for their assistance, as well as the Englewood, Lyndhurst, and Saddle Brook Police Departments which participate in the Bergen County Cyber Crimes Task Force.
