“it’s hard to imagine a more ingrained and salutary feature of U.S. election procedures than in-person voting. Even anonymity in voting (a relatively recent innovation) pales by comparison to in-person voting in terms of how close it gets to the beating heart of our representative form of self-government.

In-person voting as the primary means of receiving the gravely expressed will of We the People is sacrosanct–no doubt about it.

Are we so devoted to personal convenience that we are willing to let drunk-with-power governors rob us of our most closely-held rights?

Neither the science-to-date nor the revealed reality of the so-called “novel” Coronavirus, or the gift of COVID-19 it keeps on giving us, in any way justifies this act on the part of Governor Murphy. There is no way this will pass Constitutional muster. Current conditions daily fall farther and farther away from the kind of emergency that the governor would need to prove exists in order to receive the judiciary’s blessing for such a draconian measure.”

  1. Is this push for mail-in or online voting the endgame of the lock downs? Change the way votes are registered so that the election can be stolen? Why has big tech been censoring credible voices challenging the logic of the lock downs? Why have they been suppressing information about prevention and cure? Why is there a person who is clearly in cognitive decline leading the Democrat ticket? Why did he pick such a poor performing contender as his running mate? How are polls showing that he is actually leading? Is there a deep state that coordinated the Russia hoax, the impeachment and the virus panic? Is this a last ditch attempt by the deep state to pry victory from the jaws of defeat? Why did Trump move off his initial “let’s not panic” response to give them this opportunity?

  2. It is one thing to allow mail in voting, for those who (even if unreasonably) do not want to vote in person.

It is just a whole extreme dictatorial move to ELIMINATE in-person voting, making those ballots provisional. The biggest show in democracy worldwide is election day – people showing up in person to chose their future leaders.

First Democrats tried to eliminate election day by constantly extended early voting to make it into a stead process extending over months.

Now they want to eliminate the face of democracy – to convert this into a process that happens out of sight, in the background.

The motivation is clear – when the eventually eliminate elections altogether in the future, there will be less pushback – because there is no visible election to being with. That is the end game – no elections and permanent power for the Democratic party.

  4. Fauci has said that he plans to vote in person and sees it as no more risky than going to a supermarket. It’s strange how the mainstream media didn’t run this story but Fox did.

  6. The end game is to continue rioting in the cities so the people move to the suburbs, spreading the disease – Trump Derangement Syndrome – outward to places where the Democrats have historically not done so well. It’s already happening – just look at Ridgewood…more sheepish Liberals every day.
