“They purge voting rolls because somehow dead people often vote. Weird, right? I think what you are referring to about making it harder to vote is the need for voter ID. I think that’s kinda poor to assume that requiring, often minorities, to show ID is an unfair burden upon them. That’s kinda racist of you to assume colored people can’t figure out how to get ID… And it’s not right if what you say is true about Republicans purposely clogging voting stations. I will trust you are being honest about that, assuming you are right. Call out both sides. Hold them both to the fire. Dems do bad things too and you need to call them out.
In a healthy democracy dead people shouldn’t vote, illegals shouldn’t vote, you need to have a safe well guarded system that requires ID to vote to ensure security, and a guaranteed counted vote that vote by mail doesn’t offer.
At least Trumps solution is to stick to the status quo that we’ve trusted for the last couple hundred years and not trust a system that’s repeatedly failing — vote by mail. I don’t even particularly love him but the fact that he is arguing against a system that very well might take my vote away due to the past issues with vote by mail is enough for me to support him. I don’t want either of us losing our votes or others voting illegally.”
I wish just one Democrat would straight-up admit that mail-in voting is a significant advantage to them because of the cheating, which is excused because of a sense of the-ends-justify-the-means.
Come on, you know this is true.
As stated in the reply to this original comment, this does not actually happen. From 2000-2014, out of hundreds of millions of votes cast, there were THIRTY ONE cases of voter impersonation.
In April 2020, a 20-year voter fraud study by MIT University found the level of fraud “exceedingly rare” since it occurs only in “0.00006 percent” of instances nationally, and, in one state, “0.000004 percent — about five times less likely than getting hit by lightning in the United States.”
they never voted in Paterson
yes… and dying from COVID-19 is about 50 times less likely than voter fraud.
…but that doesn’t dtop the hysteria and oppressive government actions.
so there’s that.
My absolutely 100% true – no kidding – anecdotal evidence is that neither me nor my wife received our Republican Primary ballots this cycle, but we did receive ballots for the people (Mr/Mrs Harden) that used to live in our house 7 years ago. I didn’t, but I sure was tempted to vote for him. Maybe I will get the chance to vote for all of us in the General…fingers crossed!
The mail-in voting push just reeks of desperation.
I love all the crap about there being no evidence of fraud. There’s no evidence because it’s actually almost impossible to detect given our so-called validation processes. The “studies” also come out of left-leaning institutions. And also, we have never attempted national mail-in voting, where there is no privacy, signatures cannot be checked, dead people are receiving ballots, etc.
Bottom line, why is it that the Democrats are pushing SO HARD for this? Fauci himself recently stated that in-person voting was no riskier than going to the supermarket, which we all do.
Mail in balloting is fair for everyone, and it doesn’t opress anyones rights who can’t get to the polling stations like, minorities, the elderly, people under economic dispair that cannot drive to the polling station, and people who have symptoms of the Virus. Not to mention most of the volunteers that man the polling stations are eldery and we might not have enough people. Fraud can happen anywhere, mail in or in-person. Bottom line, we have mail in balloting and as soon as you get yours, MAIL IT IN. Why wait.
“I love all the crap about there being no evidence of fraud. There’s no evidence because it’s actually almost impossible to detect given our so-called validation processes. ”
So, can’t be proven, yet you accept completely without question that voter fraud happens. OK.
” The “studies” also come out of left-leaning institutions.” You mean, like the White House? Mike Pence? That rabid marxist?

It’s the same as the Democrat backlash against the use of IDs. Anyone who is possibly intimidated by needing to show ID is not the person who is going to vote, anyway.
Doesn’t matter in NJ.
Your neighbors will vote for the Socialist by mail or in person…
It’s simple, ppl: you vote – you have power. The state controls where and ballots are mailed – the state has power. Do you really want less power for yourself, especially now when corporations and bureaucrats have such disproportionate advantage against the populace?
Holding all else equal, voting by mail definitely enhances the participation of people who plan ahead and have decent reading comprehension. To repeat, ‘holding all else equal.’ I was surprised at the some of the information posted on FB about the ballot rejections in Ridgewood. What I recall is that rejections were not so much about ‘no signature match’ rather: despite people likely experiencing delivery and mail delays from March onwards, something got in the way of sending their ballot in as early as possible nor did they use the designated ballot box by Village Hall; people missed the instructions and forgot to sign everywhere indicted or tore off that perforated sheet when the ballot explicitly say not to do that.
I’m a registered republican. For the primary I received four (4) ballots with my name on it. All the same name and address. That’s messed up.
I was one of the 15% who had their ballot tossed last election. I followed their rules and the USPS f’ked it up from there. 20 days to travel six miles? I’m voting in person. (PS – that’s one reason why the OVOV people want a combined vote – kill off one ballot and kill off multiple races.)
