Clean up from Hurricane Ida having been completed, the RHS Athletic Stadium came alive again on Friday night with the return of RHS home football games.

The artificial turf field at Maple Park and natural grass fields at Vets remain closed & unplayable.  No word yet from the Village as to if or when they may be reopened.

The VC My friend , is blowing in the wind…no answers acoming from that wind…

  3. I watched a soccer game there today.

Field has lots of trapped dirt in it and it’s dire need of some more rubber pellets.

  4. Ridgewood lost to Union City. That’s horrendous.

  5. Nancy Bigos still asleep at the switch. Neither Susan nor Heather seem to care. No field use until next year maybe.

  6. The big plumes of fecal smoke that rose with every tackle was awesome. Breathe it in. Union City May have won, but they went home with lungs full of Ridgewood residents crap – literally.

  7. I think the residents of Ridgewood have to complain and find out how the field was actually cleaned after the flooding. All of the kids that play on that field are possibly being put in jeopardy if the fecal contaminates weren’t properly removed from the crumb rubber filling Also flooding would cause some of the small crumb rubber filling to wash away and if the crumb rubber was not replaced to the proper level the safety of the athletes who may fall on the surface will be diminished. Gmax levels should be tested to insure the hardness is lower than 200 and anti-microbial products need to be applied to remove bacteria. I don’t know if this has been done but it is incumbent on Ridgewood parents to make sure it has been. The plumes of dust are not acceptable.
