Ridgewood NJ, BOE candidate Laura McKenna reacts to being called out for spamming residents with campaign emails they never signed up for.
The first real taste of how McKenna handles accountability should give voters great concern. Rather than being accountable, in a public display of playground immaturity, McKenna reacts by ceasing participation and abruptly leaving one of Ridgewood’s largest community group. But not before publicly insulting its membership of almost 5,000 (Village of Ridgewood residents) and states to be 100% happier as a result. Until being rightfully called out, Laura McKenna was a happy long standing member and participant of the page and community platform.
VOTER BEWARE! To cease participating in an activity that has turned to one’s disadvantage, especially out of spite, or in a way that prevents others from participating is the farthest thing we need from a Board Member.

Why is it every year there’s always a big situation with the Board of Education. If it’s not one thing it’s another, and the ones that should be ashamed of themselves is the ones that voted for outsourcing school busing, custodians, groundsmen, there was no savings. They took that money and made more positions up top. It was all bullshit.
Can you send an email to the new superintendent with background information.

Laura has already clarified that she was not against vaccines, so she’s reading this post.
Can she clarify if she was against Masks? .. and can she clarify if she has a pending litigation with the school district?
She cleverly skipped these two points in her post from this morning!

Sad, her actions ultimately hurt her. If elected, this behavior hurts 25k+ residents.
Trouble in paradise? Julie Mchedlishvili, McKenna’s running mate, is silent and off the radar.
Mchedlishvili may be silent, but she speaks with reason. Laura just complaints without providing any soltions. Complain complain complain.

I know Julie through Jamboree. She is very quiet and although I like her as a person I do not think she is the right person for such position. Mckenna on the other hand seems a bit schizophrenic. PASS
What do you not like about Julie. She proposed solutions. Laura just complains without any solutions. Laura just has some very specific special Ed related agenda. Julie advocated for all students, and she will not be a rubber stamp like some other candidates who are being endorsed by the union!
Most people would in fact be 100% happier if they dropped all social media even if they don’t think so.
This is all so petty. It surprises me that anyone runs for elected office or volunteers for committees.
