RIDGEWOOD, NJ — Commuters and residents traveling through downtown Ridgewood can enjoy a significantly smoother and safer ride following the completion of a major resurfacing project along Maple Avenue.
Spanning 1.88 miles from the Ho-Ho-Kus border down to the Glen Rock border, the project brought essential upgrades to one of the area’s busiest thoroughfares.
A Major Infrastructure Improvement
The paving initiative—a collaborative effort between the Village of Ridgewood and the County of Bergen—was carried out by paving contractor Tilcon.
While temporary detours through downtown Ridgewood required drivers to navigate around construction crews during late July, the completed work restores seamless traffic flow across key stretches of Maple Avenue, including the busy corridor between Linwood Avenue and Franklin Avenue.
“Many thanks to the County of Bergen for working with us to resurface Maple Avenue from the Ho-Ho-Kus border to the Glen Rock border. While some line striping and restoration is yet to be done, the work now provides for a safe and smooth drive down one of our main roads.”
