Ridgewood NJ, Ridgewood Mayor Susan Knudsen has publicly announced that a development plan for Schedler Park recently sent to the State of NJ’s Historic Preservation Office for approval, was submitted to the State without the review or approval of Ridgewood’s Village Council.
Specifically, the development plan included the following “extra” components, none of which were either discussed or approved by Mayor Knudsen or any other member of Ridgewood’s Village Council:
Gazebo
Several pickleball courts
Concession stand
Patio surface approximately three (3) times larger than what Council members did approve
Thus far neither Mayor Knudson nor Village Manager Heather Mailander have identified the employee(s) responsible for the bogus submission. Nor has there been any public mention of disciplinary action taken, if any.
A corrected development plan was recently submitted to the State and has reportedly already received approval.
In the private sector, someone’s head would have rolled big time for such an offense.

Get the 3 mentioned above out ASAP. We are lucky we have Susan and Lorraine…still not sure about the others. Michael changed his Tune and following the wrong leaders so my trust in him is gone. Regardless get the 3 who did this out

Can you imagine my fellow taxpayers what Else these higher management Officials got away with in the past. What else did they slide through in other areas. I took the mayor council Seen these in perfections. Obviously they have no loyalty to Village of Ridgewood anymore. Give them the option to resign, or show them the door.
Heather should be held accountable. If she didn’t know, why not – throw her out. If she did know and didn’t advise the Mayor, throw her out. She has lost control – have you ever seen her office, she has paper work stacked to the ceiling, no wonder why she can’t keep up and doesn’t know whats going on.
Add Bigios to that list doesn’t she run parks and rec ( very poorly ) but gets the big bucks. Throw her out and I agree Heather should know what is going on too! Clean up the village employee roster!!!
That’s because she was trusting them. That’s been the problem the past few years. Now that you can’t trust them, and they are not loyal to the Village of Ridgewood why keep them. So now it’s time to send them out the door. It’s time for new blood anyway.
Miss Mayor it’s time to react and get rid of these two. They are both so full of shit. They are liars, and you cannot trust them anymore, no one can. They are beyond tarnished now. Thank that we have a mayor that is smart. She’s pretty much on top of a lot of things now. She seeing the light. Susan don’t trust them. I think it’s time to open up their file you’ll be surprise when you will see. Then you would say enough is enough. I’m sure there’s more to the story than we know about.. It’s starting to stink. We cannot condone this kind of behavior anymore .By keeping these two individuals there’s gonna be a major lawsuit in the village of Ridgewood.

This mayor must do her job by removing these employees immediately. This behavior is so unacceptable , so embarrassing to the village.
What the hell happened to the Village of Ridgewood. Every day there’s something else going on, it’s amazing how many screw ups that have been going on in the past few years. It obviously shows that the ones in charge just don’t have the experience and the know-how. For these individuals to be involved in illegal activity like this in government They need to be removed. And they would actually be lucky they need to be removed. And they would actually be lucky if they don’t lose their pension.
The Mayor can’t unilaterally fire anyone. The Council is a governing body of equals under our form of municipal government.
