Katie Brennan Demands: “‘Hold Accountable Those Who Failed To Take Action’ In Administration”

Trenton NJ, Following is a statement from Katie Brennan in response to the Select Oversight Committee report issued today:

“The findings of this report confirm what I have known all along–that sexual violence survivors in this state still cannot expect to receive justice. I waved a red flag at every turn of this process, and at every turn, I went unheard. And while my story should cause outrage, what should be even more disturbing is the knowledge that I am only one of countless survivors in our state who have gone voiceless and whose assaulters remain unaccountable. To our lawmakers, you now have a mandate–take meaningful action to create real accountability for perpetrators of sexual violence and for those who would protect them. To the Administration, you have a mandate as well, to hold accountable those who failed to take action or actively protected Al Alvarez. To truly claim the moral authority to implement a strong, pro-women, progressive policy agenda, the individuals in your senior leadership who have been complicit must be held to account.”

New Jersey Fireman’s Association Comments on Murphy Administrations Attempt to Divert Funds

PFANJ Statement on Proposed $33M Fund Diversion from New Jersey State Fireman’s Association

Dear Brothers & Sisters,

As reported in NJ.com () on May 5, 2019, it appears that the Governor’s proposed budget for 2020 calls for $33 million to be siphoned from the New Jersey Fireman’s Association. This fund was established in 1885 to assist active and retired firefighters – paid or volunteer – during times of financial hardship or tragedy.

The State’s reasoning is that the fund is healthy and will still have plenty of money after the $33 million is removed. Respectfully, we all know how that worked out back in the 1990’s when the State siphoned money from the Police and Fire Retirement System!

We cannot let history repeat itself.

The State of New Jersey should learn from their prior mistakes – mistakes the pension fund (PFRS) are still suffering from today.

Ridgewood NJ, If it’s time to renew your vehicle registration or driver’s license, here’s an FYI from the DMV: Imposter websites that promise to handle your paperwork could lead you down a dangerous road. Sites like  www.renewregistrations.org disguise themselves as legitimate Department of Motor Vehicles, recently popped up in as many as nine states, all on the East Coast. According to AARP many of these sites have since vanished into cyberspace after warnings by state officials, but new ones may appear.

Upper Saddle River NJ, while New Jersey politicians plunder the state and spend their days contriving new schemes to raise your taxes, the NJ DEP is left ineffectual against polluters.

Derek Michalski of GreenUSR said,” Easter celebrations in GreenUSR has been ruined for the second year in a row!!! I never wished anyone to go to hell but if anybody deserve it it would be Chris Gaffney for his decision to allow its workers to pump heavy mud second year in a row during Holy Week. Shame on him, shame on Toll Brothers and Toll Brothers’ apologists. “

illegal immigration and undocumented immigrants1

Trenton NJ, the Murphy administration may get what it wished for ,President Donald Trump said on Friday he was considering sending illegal immigrants in the country to so-called sanctuary cities. Frustrated by rising numbers of undocumented immigrants arriving at the southern border and a failure to get Congress to fully fund a U.S.-Mexico border wall, Trump taunted Democrats by dangling the possibility of an influx of illegal immigrants into their communities.
