Ridgewood NJ, looking for something fun and different to do with your children? Take them on a Story Walk in the meadow adjacent to the Stable!
A Story Walk is an exciting literary initiative that combines the reading of a children’s story with a walking route, while connecting families in the outdoors. “Planting the Wild Garden” by Kathryn Galbraith features the author’s lyrical prose and Wendy Halpern’s crisp, elegant illustrations, showing how many elements work together through the seasons to create and sustain a wild meadow garden.

Enjoy this free activity, courtesy of the Ridgewood Parks and Recreation Department, throughout the month of May.
It’s a unique way for parents, teachers, grandparents and caregivers to share the beauty of nature and love of reading with young children!
