Ridgewood NJ, one (1) summons was issued in connection with a two (2) vehicle crash at the intersection of Franklin Avenue and North Walnut Street, Ridgewood on Sunday evening, 01/02. Ridgewood firefighters used hydraulic tools to extricate an adult female passenger of a minivan involved in the collision. The victim was transported to The Valley Hospital by Ridgewood EMS. A crash related fluid spill was also attended to by Ridgewood Fire Department. Both vehicles involved in the crash appear to have been totaled and were removed from the scene by a flatbed tow truck. Ridgewood Police Patrol Division handled the crash investigation.
To end up where they did, these cars must have been really booking…
When the information is available, I would like to know more about this incident. How fast were they going? Theoretically, why did it happen? Where either drivers impaired? If this is a bad intersection, what will be done about it.
These are they types of things that villagers feel that are being hidden from them. I understand the legalities, but I don’t believe anything asked is in violation.
Please keep us informed….with detail.
I would love to know the background story and the speeds these vehicles were traveling! Ridgewood PD just needs to step it up.. understand they feel powerless and are afraid to pull people over because they don’t wanna be put on the news
