Paramus NJ, a Nissan SUV headed westbound on Route 4 near Spring Valley Road in Paramus on Wednesday morning, 07/12, veered off of the highway, through a steel guardrail, and into a tree. The driver was entrapped upon impact. Officers from the Paramus Police’s Emergency Services Unit worked with Paramus firefighters and Paramus Rescue Squad members to free the heavily entrapped driver from the Nissan. The driver and a rear seat passenger were transported by separate Paramus EMS ambulances to Hackensack University Medical Center’s main campus for evaluation and treatment. A flatbed tow truck removed the heavily damaged Nissan from the scene.
