  1. Congratulations, but and I mean, but under OSHA safety rules and just common sense the village is putting themselves in extremely dangerous situation with putting one bed on a garbage truck to do the pick up route. Extremely dangerous, and talk about burning employees out.

  2. Yes, one man on a garbage truck is crazy, we totally agree. We’ve been watching that. Not a good situation. I don’t know who started that, I guess the individual did not care about employees, health and well-being. Safety was put on the back burner. What else is new?

  3. Not bad for someone who only works three days a week and collects a full time salary !

  4. One man on either a garbage or a recycling truck is “penny found and pound foolish” to use a very old Irish expression. You are endangering the one man to save dollars by not having the three we have always had. Three were organized, could move quickly, and actually saved money by saving time on the job. It takes at least twice as long, and a single person doing all of that can get disabled much more easily than three men working together. One man has to drive the truck, climb down at each house and load the garbage or recycling by himself, then climb back in the truck and repeat the maneuvers. Whose bright idea was it to save money by doing it in this highly inefficient manner? It certainly wasn’t thought through by anyone!

  5. The union and osha needs to get involved. This is totally unacceptable. We blame the top management for this.
