Ridgewood NJ, the environmental remediation at the Town Garage site  at 120 Franklin Avenue and at the corner of North Walnut Street Parking Lot (132 Franklin Avenue) is moving forward. According Village Manager Keith Kazmark, seven fuel tanks have been removed from the parking lot, and material from the Town Garage property continues to be excavated and removed by the previous owner.

    1. I think there’s another reason why they call you gasoline alley. 🍺🥴🍺

  3. The former building on the corner of Franklin and N. Walnut was demolished in the mid-1970’s. That means that any tanks under that portion of the site have been deteriorating underground for 50-years. Seems like a lot of risk to only achieve 26 more parking spaces. But downtown merchants had clout back in the 70’s too.

    1. Don’t worry!

“The project will be completed in two years.”
