  1. Accept Donation – Sports Fields Upgrades – RBSA …… WTF ?????

    1. RBSA doesn’t own their fields, they use the BoE fields. They pay for maintenance and upgrades for these.

      I don’t know if other sports leagues do the same (basketball court refinishing, soccer fields, lax fields, etc).

  2. You know for many years many people used to think sleep shit Ridgewood , always put Ridgewood first .not anymore. It’s just not worth it, they don’t appreciate it. That’s why the village is in the toilet. many of us tried to repair it but now it’s back in the curb line isn’t it.

    1. How’s that dictation software working for you?

      1. not a dictation software issue.
        ….more of a reading comprehension issue.

    2. What is ‘sleep shit’ mean..?

  3. #. 5. Huh. Why someone one making a. Problem. Why is it an emergency now . After all these years. How much is that going to cost. We are getting laid off for 5 days and they are spending big money on this. Why now. Sounds like more to me.$$$$$$$$$???????????????

  4. So it is interesting to see “items removed from the agenda” and I would be willing to guess what that is… and I cannot wait to hear about the RBSA gift to upgrade fields. This is where the self proclaimed deep pockets people in Ridgewood will stand up front and center and preen like a peacock and those very special VC (you know who you are) will fulfill their not so secret agenda to make every sports family in Ridgewood believe that they are the only people that matter (because, well they are treated like they are the only ones that matter). I bet I know who will be there. Maybe we will even see little kiddies dressed up in their uniforms again too!!

  5. I look forward to Wednesdays to see what kind of nonsense The Four Horsemen will come up with tonight !

  6. That is weird. What makes that an emergency. That buildings been there for an extremely long time. Was there some major changes at that location. for upgrades. or did the building fail for some inspection. and if so, who failed it. another investigation.

  7. Sleep shit talk dream , means it’s in your brain.

  8. The Ridgewood Village Council, made up of a group of elected individuals are sworn to advocate on behalf of all of the residents of the Village. The Mayor and Deputy Mayor are elected by the VC, not the public. Each member of the Council sit on various boards and committees and these are open to the public, as follows:

    Paul Vagianos-sits on the Board of Education (monthly), Chamber of Commerce, Ridgewood Commercial Center Advisory Board, Community Board and Ridgewood’s Stigma Free Task Force;
    Pam Perron-sits on the Environmental Committee, Green Ridgewood, Green team (Certification for sustainable New Jersey, Open space Committee (looks for property that can be used for parks), Central Business District Committee (CBD) Advisory Committee (Benchmark with other towns and get speakers to discuss how other towns are doing, take field trips to other towns to see parking, lighting, budgeting, parking utility, garage).
    Lorraine Reynolds is in charge of Project Pride Committee, Citizens Safety Advisory Committee (they discuss local safety concerns, intersections, speeding, sidewalks), Kasschau Shell Memorial Committee (performances);
    Evan Weitz- Historic Preservation Commission and is a liaison to Ridgewood Arts, Library Board of Trustees and the July 4th committee (private) covers funding and organization of fireworks and parade on Fourth of July);
    Siobhan Winograd heads up the Shade Tree Commission, Parks, Recreation and Conservation Board, Fields Committee (Board of Ed and Municipal), Ridgewood Community Access network (CAN).

    You can email each of them directly to create a written record of suggestions, complaints and concerns that residents have about things that impact not only you but others. Email addresses are on the Village’s website.

  9. Wait till they start addressing the Dpw. Oh boy, sweep sweep, sweep.

  10. Some of us think the village is spending way too much money and toilet paper.

  11. Are Ridgewood baseball parents living in a bubble? There were two parents from different families on line to speak during last night’s public comments section of the meeting, each with their children in tow. They even needed to be given special consideration as it was a school night and they were allowed a chance to speak so that they could get their children home to bed. Each parent individually expressed that despite listening to many Schedler Community residents express dangerous health, safety hazards and environmental concerns over issues related to using artificial turf that will contain toxic chemicals, poor air quality issues due to playing sports directly on State Route 17 given that particulates will come off of the roadway, that only their needs far exceeded those of any concerned citizens who may live nearby. It seems only their needs should be taken into consideration. All that matters is that their kids have a regulation size field with turf and anything else just isn’t going to cut it. The family on Hillcrest has paraded this same 9 year old child in front of the VC before in an effort to hammer their message home by way of sympathy. This dad expounded on how important it is for his kids to have fun playing baseball and that he shouldn’t have to drive to Wyckoff or Waldwick to take his kids to a game when all of Ridgewood’s turf fields are flooded. My guess is that he was’t paying attention to the part where it was explained that through filing an OPRA request for official documents, that Ridgewood has filed for flood insurance on the Schedler property. The other parent, a mom from Benning Court began in almost a childlike voice, by stating that she felt that people in opposition with her were “against” her. While they may have concerns related to Schedler, that her one goal as the person in charge of Girls’ Ridgewood softball so her only mission is to find fields that will be allocated to her and this is the solution. That is a lofty goal, that any field created at Schedler would be dedicated to her needs. Definitely a nice pipedream but likely not really a solution exclusive for you.
