Ridgewood NJ, a reader points out that the Facebook site “The Truth About Ridgewood” is a censored page created by Ron Simoncini. He does PR work for the developers.
It is a censored site, only positive messages about the garage and high density housing. It supports Richard Brooks . It is creepy, written in the first person but it is difficult to locate Ron’s name. Thinks the lawn signs are great. He also thinks that residents have moved on from the parking issue and are now focusing on Graydon! In his dreams!
There is no positive dialog, just his PR ramblings. There are no Comments. Maybe the only comments were too negative so he censored them.
They did an email blast this morning. Don’t know where he got his mailing list but HS parents think that he may have used the school directory. Lots of unhappy recipients. Man he needs to hire a social media person.
You have a problem with censoring?
He states “The truth is..” as if his opinion is somehow the truth.
Responds to many posts like an all knowing father knows best.
He needs a new hobby.
Funny, I have seen a lot of divergent views on that page so far…

Anon 7:02 Remember my name for the Blog: The Ridgewood Pravda. Pravda is the name of the official Soviet newspaper and meant “Truth.” Our own Pravda has as much truth as the Soviet Pravda. James makes a mockery of the 1st Amendment.
We all volunteer. We all have email lists for the various activities. But it is a well known fact that even though you CAN, you SHOULDN’T compile them into your own personal email list. It is wrong. The parents on those teams, and in those programs did not sign up for that when they gave you their email addresses.

far from being censored, despite that several people have broken the simple rules of the site, i have not deleted one post from the Truth. I like that Rich Brooks has confronted the issue of engaging the public in village decisions and i consider him a friend. but i have not endorsed anyone for Council. Ron Simoncini you should have kept your business to Hudson County. Bringing it to where you live is disgraceful.
You are not good at PR and you are even worse with social media. “The Truth about Ridgewood” sounds like a site that will reveal where the bodies are buried not tell us that you like the proposed garage.

Who is bigger dumbaxx. People who hired him to manage both PR with residents AND increase their access to the Mayor (and his team).

He himself who doesn’t seen to know that those who are managing developer’s access to the Mayor should not manage PR with residents of the town.

I’ve known Ron for about 15 years . . . . i my opinion he’s always been an a$$ with an “I know best” attitude. He’s a complete sell-out only interested in what’s best for himself (again, just my opinion). He’s top of my list for most repulsive Ridgewoodian.
Typical, arrogant Ron Simoncini. He makes a video telling all of us how wonderful he is and how active he’s been in the Village and then explains how he’s compiled our emails from private email addresses from RBSA, Jamboree, etc. BUT NEVER APOLOGIZES FOR SENDING US UNSOLICITED MAIL. HEY RON, DID YOU HAVE MY PERMISSION TO USE MY EMAIL FROM AN RBSA, HSA OR JAMBO LIST? In any case, you shouldn’t be using lists from organizations for your personal crap.
And can you, Ron Simoncini, explain what “a correct dialogue” is? And what “The Truth” is? I assume it’s “the Truth” according to Ron Simoncini?
2:21- it is not just your opinion. Many MANY agree that simoncini is a creep of,the lowest possible sort. Yuck.
He writes essays, like his another friend who recently quit the ‘it takes’ group and is now posting on his page. They both like to write long essays in every response. Who has time to read all that shit.
If they had real answers, that just needs 1-2 lines.
He is in PR and doesn’t know how to use social media. I know that the emai lists from school, sports and organizations were not meant to be used for mass mailings.
If he had any doubts he could have asked, but he was clueless. He admitted on Facebook that he did not have many Facebook Friends. I hope he does not have Instagram and Twitter accounts. More places to make mistakes.
Learn business ethics and hire someone with media skills.
