Ridgewood NJ, after being a cornerstone in Ridgewood’s Central Business District for numerous years, Town & Country Apothecary & Fine Cosmetics will regrettably shut its doors on December 23.

In June of 2022 Town & Country Apothecary & Fine Cosmetics stopped filling prescriptions.

This locally-owned pharmacy offers a range of products, including medicine, makeup, clothing, hair care items, and various miscellaneous goods. To show your support for this beloved Ridgewood establishment, take advantage of the ongoing sale until the store’s closure, offering excellent prices on a variety of items. Visit Town & Country Apothecary & Fine Cosmetics at 60 E Ridgewood Ave during this closing period.

    1. And Drapkins Stationary Store
      They carried everything!!

  2. Remember George the manager. He was a great guy.

  3. So sad
Another great store is closing only to be replaced with another bank or restaurant. No diversity in stores left in this town.

    1. a shame…nice store with great people.
maybe the 13th barbershop will open (in a 1 mile radius)

  4. It is time to bring fast food chains in town. I’d like a Wendy’s. Also, next to it a Chick Fil A. We are part of RT17 and should reflect the progressive changes all around us. Inclusivity and diversity. Families in RW who cannot afford to eat in the expensive restaurants need an alternative. Please make is happen Mr. pv. Make Ridgewood into Hackensack, a thriving place.

    1. What’s really missing is an enormous flashing sign in the middle of the park that advertises It’s Greek to Me 24/7. Let’s take up a collection.

    2. This is more than ample reason why Ridgewood maintains it’s reputation – it’s because it closes shop by 9pm keeping the riff-raff OUT! Visit any town that has fast food restaurants and observe the garbage strewn all over the ground and streets – not to mention the entrance and exit ramps! You always know whose in town by the magnitude of garbage!! I just had this very conversation with a friend – it’s amazing it’s GARBAGE when it’s IN THEIR CAR but not once they throw it OUT the window! It’s like the plastic cups you see on the ground in parking lots – assuming there’s a plastic cup fairy that swoops down and takes them Theses people have absolutely no class which is the exact polar opposite of Ridgewood

      1. But have you seen area outside of Felina the morning after a big event? Beer bottles, cigars, bar glasses, etc. strewn about the facade all along E. Ridgewood Ave and Prospect. Disgusting garbage deposited by whom? A whole lot well-dressed, over-coifed classy people with deep pockets; hardly the riff-raff you’re referring to and yet …

  5. Is this one of Pee Wee’s buildings…?

  6. The rent is too damn high.

  7. Signs, Signs, Everywhere Signs.

    Put a fork in RW.

    It’s Done.

  8. Will miss the watch repair man at the apothecary

  9. Where can you get a watch repaired in town?

    1. directly across the street at pangia. very nice people. i always used the lady at town and country until she retired. last time i went there they reluctantly referred me across the street since they did not have a person to put in a battery on staff. i have used pangia three times and am satisfied with the price and immediate service

  10. When I first moved in, from admittedly a less than middle class upbringing, I had to get a prescription filled and went to T&C. When it was filled, I picked up and started to pay, but the young lady behind the counter asked “are you in town?” Um, gee, i guess so “yes of course”. Gave her my address and they send a bill. Walked out a lighter in my step, realizing that I had moved up to “in town”.

  11. Guess the pedestrian plaza didn’t help any businesses and probably made it worse for places like this. Sorry to see it close
